WOW 🤩 what a gem of a movie theatre owned and operated for the last 60+ years by Ben De Luca whom I had the pleasure of meeting today. If “passion” had a face, it would be Ben’s. This man loves what he does and where he does it! The history in this place is amazing - including the cinema door handles that were used in the movie “Australia” which are now the door handles for cinema 1 and 2. The movie posters in the hallway are full of signatures of the stars that have graced the big screen and tell of a beautiful relationship between Ben and those who have visited the theatre including Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman and Paul Hogan. I highly recommend coming to Bowen’s Summergarden Cinemas and catching a show for only $10, and good luck not falling asleep in the big comfy chairs! I enjoyed it, with some caveats. Seating was good, movie experience was good as usual. However my friends and I got a lemonade and we noticed there wasn't any ice and the drink itself was about 75% syrup with very little carbonation. I begrudgingly drank mine while my friend only had half of his.

What I expected was the lemonade I go to the Bowen cinemas for, the nectar of the gods, the liquid of the kings. And what I got? I got pure, unadulterated rage in a cup. Rage that bestowed itself upon me. This is appalling and I expect it to be rectified upon my next visit.

Also these strange small children were at the door asking me how the movie was. Some people may not enjoy that sort of thing, especially during a pandemic. Thank you...

I just watched new Top Gun at Bowen Cinema. And I LOVE IT! The ticket price is definitely sweet with their service. They sell some snack, drink, and popcorn at the front, which is really nice. Because I don’t know where I can fill me up in Bowen before the movie.I don’t live here.😂

This cinema looks small from outside, so when I walked into theater I was shocked. The space is bigger than I expected. The quality of watching was good. My partner and I had a great time there. Nice talking with the owner. He was so friendly and welcoming. He made sure everyone there having a good time.
