This cabin is in a really unique and beautiful location. The weather was wild and windy and it was lovely to be in the cabin amongst that. There are lots of lovely touches to the cabin. Nice linen and bedding, fresh flowers and a few veges and eggs (which I assume was “breakfast included” - but no milk or tea!). For the price though, and it’s at the high end of what we looked at on Bruny, a few small details could be better. The accommodation wasn't ready well past our check in time (but the owner did extend our checkout time when she eventually responded more than a day and several messages later which was appreciated, even though the cleaners (I assume that’s who they were?) turned up early on our last day). There was no milk or tea so we had to make a few unnecessary trips back out to the shop on our first day. Better communication about provisions (no olive oil or cooking basics etc) would be helpful given the self-catering nature of the island. Also the floor is COLD just barely out of summer so take slippers! Thankfully the dressing gowns are warm and toasty! The covered balcony is huge but sparse and we would’ve loved a day bed to cosy up in as the afternoon cooled off. Overall it was a lovely place to stay. I’m being picky because of the pricing. If you call something luxury and charge for it accordingly, all these little things should be seamless...
Read moreMy Husband, baby and I were so sad to say goodbye to this amazing slice of heaven this morning. Such wonderful and busy days exploring Bruny. Gathering treats from local providers. We finished both days with the ultimate relaxation settling in for the night in such luxurious but at the same time inviting surroundings with our cabin.
Whether it was soaking in the magical bath tub, cooking a bbq breakfast or grazing on the cheese and wine we’ve picked up along our journey. We felt like we were instantly in a very special place.
Such an incredible first family getaway without 10 month old.

Read moreSpent two nights in this very secluded cabin. With the balcony door open you can relax with the waves from the nearby beach crashing on the sand. A couple of walking tracks nearby allow an excuse to see some nature. Absolutely lovely bathroom with a spa bath where you can relax in from a day of hikes. The convenient Bruny Island cruise centre (walking distance) has lunch dining options as food is very limited on the island. If you’re staying in Bruny Island, then you have to stay here ! Oh and thank god for the washing machine available in the room. After two weeks of travelling this was...
