Fingal Heads is one of the most beautiful places to visit. The local Bundjalung First Nation people named the headland "Booningbah" which means "giant echidna" which is exactly what this headland looks like. it starts with a short walk though a tree tunnel up to the lighthouse. Here you can view down the south coastline and to the left views of the Gold Coast. Clean white sandy beaches, and although no patrols you can swim here. The water is that gorgeous crystal clear tropical aqua blue, it’s incredible. Lots of wildlife here to , dolphins , pelicans and whales now it’s winter time. The rock formations are so unique unlike any I’ve seen before. I was here on a rainy day and it was still incredibly beautiful. A very grounding place to relax and connect...

Really enjoyed visiting here. It’s a good length walk of under 8 mins to get to the light house - wish there was more information on the history bc you can see the foundations of the old lighthouse keepers cottage and some info about one who lived there with 11 children back in the day! The views are stunning and the causeway is breathtaking - the photos don’t do it justice and I am amazed people were fishing nearby with the choppy ocean. We walked around with our 22 month old and had a travel pram, there were some steps where we carried the toddler up and the pram separately - on the way back he walked down the stairs. It was a good, long enough activity with a toddler although you need to hold them tight...

Fingal Head Lighthouse is one of those places that feels like a hidden treasure. The short walk to the top is easy and surrounded by nature, and once you get there, the views are absolutely stunning. You can see the ocean stretching endlessly, with Cook Island in the distance and waves crashing against the unique basalt rock formations below. It’s a peaceful spot, perfect for just sitting and soaking in the fresh sea breeze. If you’re lucky, you might even spot some whales during migration season. It’s not overly crowded, which makes it even more special. Definitely...

Great view. Basalt columns are a thrill to see albeit bit smaller in scale than I expected it to be. But the cooling lava once cool is very cool to be see in person
