Welcomed myself and partner by Pete and Bia on arrival for our adventure out to Fish Rock. Hire gear all sorted then meet at the boat ramp for the trip out. Massive amount of rain but Pete assured us that currents from the south were keeping the visibility pretty good. Safety is obviously the first priority of this dive operation, equipment was excellent, instructions and procedures were clear and precise, all we had to do was listen and follow. In the water, WOW! Simple, just follow Pete and everything appears, Grey Nurse everywhere and in your face, friendly and pesky large Blue Groper, lazy Wobbygongs littering the rock bottom even a big school of Kingfish blazing past. After some food and refreshment during the surface interval we were back in the water this time with the planned and much anticipated Fish Rock Cave. No disappointments here, lobsters and more Wobbies galore then as we began to see the light more Grey Nurse silhouettes at the shallow end, Mind Blowing. Thankyou Fish Rock Dive Centre, Pete and Bia for a wonderful and memorable day!

Not to be missed adventure for divers, the sharks and fish are extraordinary! FRDC provide excellent quality gear in great condition, they cater to divers who feel the cold too with plenty of warm wetsuit options. We were given clear dive briefs and a plan to ensure everyone got through the cave safely. We went out on their large RIB which handles the sea and bar crossing very well. We didn't see the hoped for Hammerheads (that's wildlife for you) but I will never forget the sight of dozens of Grey Nurse sharks bisecting columns of Ladderfin Pomfrets within a stream of sunshine. Nor will I forget the thrill of suddenly 'seeing' the rocks underneath me were actually the resting place of a 2m Wobbiegong (one of many, many of these experts in camo to be seen around the rock). So many fish to be seen, cowtail rays, sponges and black coral too. So much pretty stuff on the walls but we spent most of our time shark gazing! We also enjoyed South West Rocks, the off leash dog friendly beaches and the walks in Arakoon. All round great week.

I honestly wouldn't know what his services are like as Mr Yarwood took our money and never provided them. The photo says it all really. Mr Yarwood needed to cancel the dive trip due to NSW Government orders, that was fine. But then he never got back to us about making up the trip or giving a refund so it ended up before the courts. The fact that a simple refund had to go to the courts when he could have issued a refund for services not provided or simply moved the booking to another day shows that we will not be going to Fish Rock Dive Centre again.

Amazing diving with a truly wonderful team. We spent a week in July 2020 doing double boat dives with Fish Rock Dive Centre and loved every second of it!

We saw more grey nurse sharks than I could have imagined, turtles, shovel nose rays, eagle rays, bull rays, and so many fish - there were walls of fish with a great many varieties! The cave swim through is a different experience, and the fish life at either end is quite a treat!

The water was about 20 degrees Celsius and the visibility 25 meters +. We could see the deep cave entrance at the bottom as soon as we entered the water which was about 25 meters below!

Pete, Bia and Larry are very safety conscious and have a great communication system worked out for swimming through the cave. Fish Rock Dive Centre love having dive photographers too!

Pete is so passionate and enthusiastic about grey nurse sharks, whales, and conservation of underwater environments. It was such a pleasure to watch him along side the grey nurse sharks, he is in his element down there with them.

Bia was one of our dive master, she is poetry in motion underwater. Her underwater communication is clear and easy to understand, and she looks like a ballerina with flowing movements underwater. Our other dive master was Larry who was so chilled and relaxed, and there to help when I experienced buoyancy problems in my dry suit.

Pete went out of his way so we could experience whales on our dives, consequently we saw whales almost everyday. Sometimes the whales were just blowing as they took a breath, but other times they slapped their tail for ages, and even breached, sometimes in unison!

The boat ride to Fish Rock varies with weather, so if you suffer sea sickness, I would recommend sea sickness prevention medication every trip, even if you think it will be calm. This prevented any problem for me.

South West Rocks itself is a beautiful place, with lots of walks, photography opportunities, bird watching, surfing, swimming and so on. The view from the lighthouse is wonderful, and with stormy clouds the photo opportunities...

My partner and I drove 14.5 hours to get to Southwest Rocks, to dive Fish Rock on my 30th bday. I am so, so glad we got to do so with Fish Rock Dive Centre!

Before I get into how great the crew was and etc let me say that both myself and my partner are experienced divers and have blown bubbles all over the world (literally). The reason I say this is that we have been in the water with dive operations that are sub-par, and dive ops that are great. THE STAFF AT FISH ROCK DIVE CENTRE ARE AMAZING!!!

The crew was super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They took perfect care of all our gear and made it so you could just relax throughout the day- they even swapped our BCDs over for us in-between dives.

Our dive guide handled the varying experience levels and gas consumption in the group perfectly. This allowed myself (diving Nitrox) and partner to experience Fish Rock the way we wanted to, while still having a local guide to show us the best spots.

Before, between and after the dives, and the crew was always super friendly and helpful. Keen for a laugh, and also very professional.

My partner and I both highly recommend that when you choose to dive Fish Rock, you choose Fish Rock Dive Centre!

P.S. A big plus is the Costa Rica Hotel that is literally right next door. They do discounts if you're diving with Fish Rock Dive Centre and the rooms are super comfy.

P.S.S. Almost forgot to mention how amazing the dives were. There were dozens and dozens of grey nurses cruising around. Plus we got to see some whales in the distance along with a few turtles, octopus, stone fish, bull rays, wobbygongs, eels, giant schools of fish, a pristine cave, and even the ever-elusive mermaid. What more could a...
