We booked this accomodation after reading other reviewers' comments. The facilities described exactly the same as written in the comments: 1) easy to use local bus every 30mins at the front. 2) located near a local airport. So that we did not need to hire any car saving $$$. Instead, my family only paid about $14 for a day trip pass. At night after 7pm from the city, one way taxi cost $16-24 depending on how many you have got.(we were six of us) Being next to the airport was even better not to be lazy in the morning. It will wake you up. The noise level is not disturbing extent. They have got a pool which is good and well-maintained. The office is kind and well-prepared with basic groceries you would need and card/video games you can hire. In the cabin(Delux), big TV entertained my kids morning and night with Neflix. Kitchen and bathroom are all modern and neat. Air-conditioning is good and running all day long to cool you down when it is hot outside. Complimentary wine was provided at your arrival. The office lady confirms your arrival and let you know how to check in out of biz hours. It was our first family trip to Airlie beach and we had really great time up there staying at this family friendly accomodation. Only one thing I would mention as minus was that I and my wife got bitten by possibly bed bugs or something similar while sleeping. Very small bite but you only notice during late morning feeling very itchy. We would have been only unlucky people with occasion but there needs to be attention to be paid.

What a great place to stay with cabins tent sites and shade filled van site. It has clean Toilets and showers. Movie night with fire pits and a food van to supply hot food and junk food. It out of the hustle and bustle but dose back onto the airport with is great for the fifo holiday makes but if you want more quiet book done the front.

The location was nice near Shute harbour, the airport next door wasn't peaceful, some flights leaving at 5.45am. The amenities seemed to be neglected with the staff to busy pruning trees and taking children's possessions then to repair the broken showers, taps and booking issues. Was moved 3 times to try and accommodate the size of my camper with the very, very small camp-site that do not work well for camping with others, they are longer then they are wide and I couldn't fit an awning for shade in the first 2 areas provided. Didn't like the general grumpy nature the second I asked to be moved, very in your face, even though I couldn't fit into the area allocated. Also noticed the staff taking bikes and scooters off kids without telling parents, this angered me and I wasn't effected. Pool was also out of use for 24 hours. No activity's for the kids at ALL, no movie, no crafts and no fun, I will not return, it was almost like they think who cares, they are only backpackers. And they will keep coming. The one highlight was the Cafe, the lady cooking and serving in here was brilliant, very busy but still communicated well and was friendly, unlike most others in the park. I've included a photo for anyone who wants to see how close the airport is.

I spoke with a lady who I cannot remember her name (Ally maybe) and made my booking on 23.12.2020 at Whitsunday Eco Resort for powered tent area over the phone. I explain my situation as we are going to come from Bundaberg that day and road will be take around 8-9 hours and we are expecting come late night if that's possible. She said that is not a problem if you are coming after 9.30 pm what we can do is leaving a note and once you come (to the staff or to us I am not sure) you can find your space on your own. I agreed and finalise the payment with no worries.

Next day I called again to extend my stay for one more day but this time I spoke with a lady named Lee or Li (I am not sure how its spell) and told my extend wish. She looked into system for the possibility with a hurry and made the extend. After we agreed and payment completed I tried to remind her my arrive time and note solution which has been suggested me from one day before. She directly said ' No you cannot enter the premises after 9.30 because we have quite area policy' or something. I said but before I made this booking I agreed with the another person who I spoke with previous day. She said 'Hang on' and put me on wait without even picking any polite words for it. Once she came back she said no we cannot accept you because of the policy. And I said but we weren't agree this way last time. She directly said " Sir, you cannot come and set-up a tent during midnight. I am going to cancel your booking if you want to'' in a very rude and annoying way. I said ok then and she hang up phone to my face in a second and I really shocked. I called her again to ask when my refund will be issued? She gave the answer as in a week or so and hang up to my face second time!!

I really feel terrible about this as a tourist and a human being. I was not trying to do something against the rules or your policy I was just trying to understand why I was able to made this booking one day before and paid for it and next day faced with the policy.

Terrible...

Never mind the dogs - BEWARE THE OWNERS

As an ex-resident of 5 months this review is based on a long-term stay in the park:

In the wake of Cyclone Debbie my partner and I were disgustingly evicted from the park. This was following a request to provide power by the on-site generator to our powered site and the simple necessity of a hot shower after being without power and water for 5 days. As I was interstate for work my partner was cornered by the owners, verbally abused and literally spat on. Needless to say I was in awe. To think we were paying residents, financially supporting the park, this is socially and professionally unacceptable. In a ironic twist, the police were called to assist the eviction to which they requested not to be bothered again by such a trivial matter in a time of natural disaster. To further prolong the matter my partners private details were publicly displayed on social media (which have now been deleted) in attempt to make finding new accomodation more difficult for us. Unsurprisingly I am appalled by this behaviour from these business owners we had previously trusted and happily abided by a request to improve our site by providing countless hours of unpaid labour to spread numerous tonnes of ground base with no help.

Aside from our personal experience, there have been numerous requests from all residents to provide improved water quality with test data as you can literally see and taste the sediment.

Also note the park is located 10 minutes out of Airlie Beach next to an airport that operates 7 days.

I strongly encourage anyone thinking of staying here to go elsewhere as I would hate for anyone else to have to go through a similar experience.

Feel free to contact me should you require any further information regarding the matter as the owners haven't yet...
