Duty Manager NEED course for customer service. Today he was humiliate and embarrassing myself for something that we didn't do. My son ( got mental health) do the shopping for me to build his confidence. He came back and he said they charged me with something I didn't get mum. I send him back with the receipt to sorted out. He came back irritated and said the manager sai he can't refund it because is been scanned and nothing he can do about it and yelled at him. He came back and we both walked in to correct the misunderstanding. He was so rude and I said check camera he said I can't. He was so rude not doing what manage should do. I said I will never shop there again as we usually do shopping there every week. I came back and took all the stuff inside and he walked in with the lady was serving my son and she said yes my son is right she was accidentally put that in she was apologetic but the manager is so arrogant not suitable to be a manager. He was rude to me before, I was asking if they sell caramel popcorn before my mouth finished he shut me with a words " if nothing on the shelves that it we don't have anymore that it." I said mate you don't even know what am I going to asked as I haven't finished my question. We walked around and find the item was on another section near the counter. Everyone else is working there is lovely and polite accept THE MANAGER how is this possible and trusted to be a manager. I beg his teams had enough of him too. My experience is so bad and I don't feel want to walk in...

While I regularly rely on this store for when I can't get to the larger supermarket on a weekend before they shut or on public holidays....tonight I encountered the most depressed individual. Laurie....mate if you don't wanna be at work why be the face of your store? Laurie appeared as though he would rather be anywhere but on the checkout, struggled to form a conherant sentence, could not initiate eye contact and instead of asking me how I was, I was left to ask HIM, in an effort to make awkward small talk....to which he grunted "ok" and I said "great...I am also well". That was the extent of the interaction. Laurie it might be worth taking a mental health day, you literally look as though you need it. Very disappointing given the girls on there are usually so happy and chirpy. Maybe the front face of the company is not where Laurie belongs, maybe he was having a bad day....who knows but this encounter was not ideal.

Edit: going by previous reviews it looks as though this is Laurie's normal behaviour. Laurie is lucky I didn't witness him abusing staff because Laurie might have had a few words to say in response to what I might have said. If Laurie is the owner then he need to consider hiring a new manager because his attitude is bringing his store down. If he is not the owner then he needs to be moved on. Time for a new job mate....cus you're clearly past your expiry date given the attitude I saw tonight, and going by what other...

Just had some delicious choc afgans that were made in store and they were beautiful!!!! Easily some of the best i have ever had......they also make amazing cakes.....my kids asked for them as birthday cakes this birthday.....the cakes in store beat any i have had from other supermarket and cake shops and are half the price !!!!! IGA Coomera has WITHOUT question the most friendly and professional team of staff......your always greeted with smiles and nothing is to much trouble.....i remember after having surgery the young man who works on the check outs carried my groceries out and packed them into the car.....and they always ask me if my hands are full or I have particularly heavy things if I want help......costomer service like this is almost unheard of these days......i often see them helping people with heavy things particularly the elderly .....i can't imagine that's at all part of their job.....its just they type of genuinely decent people who work there......i noticed today looking round their new floor plan how clean the place was.....its spotless....always is ......i just am so used to it i don't pay attention to that....to me me the store really is just the best!!! In every way it could be....great food....great people.....great prices.....keep up the outstanding work team Coomera......your an asset to the community and I feel so greatful and to be honest a little bit spoiled to have you as...
