Sin Gin Distillery — Local services in Herne Hill

I booked a tour/tasting of Sin Gin for a friend and I on a Saturday afternoon, hoping there wouldn't be too many people - we were in luck, as it worked out to be only the 2 of us. Dave was very knowledgeable, with some lovely tales to boot. Was great to hear how it all got started and how they got to where they are now. All the gins we tried were very tasty, a few more so than others. I tried them all neat and was surprised how much I liked all 7 we tasted. There was Tonic or soda water to have with them if you preferred and I did try one or two with the waters too but I definitely preferred them neat for the tasting. They are a small outfit that has just extended, have plenty of room for larger group bookings if your into that. The premises has air-conditioning which was a god send on the day we went. Would love to go back and have a crack at making my own flavoured Gin sometime, great idea for a gift. Will definitely be back for more Gin and to try...

We bought a package which included the sin gin distillery and whilst the gin we tasted was absolutely gorgeous, the amount we was served (20ml in total per person) was a bit of a joke for the amount we had paid per person. As a group of 14, one of our friends grabbed the spare soda waters from the table before leaving to be questioned by one of the servers. She told our friend that it ‘wasn’t a great look’ to be ‘stealing from the distillery’ for taking drinks that were rightfully ours. Some of our friends went to the bathroom during the gin tasting and instead of pouring their drinks ready for when they sat we were told they said to tell them to come to the bar if they really want to try it… we all paid a lot of money to go on a wine tour to have one stop completely ruined...

I booked in a "Make Your Own Gin" experience as a birthday gift for my sister. The staff were absolutely amazing! Whilst booking Tess was amazing in looking after my special request for the birthday gift. The owner was away on the day and he typically does these experiences, but we were looked after like royalty on the day. I forget the guys name (sorry!), but it was his first time taking this tour and he was awesome. We were offered free tastings and learnt so much about the gin making process.
