We had great time kayaking through the Murray river. Right from the beginning, a day before our trip, Brenton updated us about the weather and gave us options to reschedule considering it wasn’t a normal calm day. We decided to go for an adventurous first time experience. Our guides, James was vey knowledgeable and supportive through our little man hiccups! Our kids (11 & 12) enjoyed the paddle so much that they didn’t feel the time or mind the cold weather. James tied my kayak to his when he felt my son was getting very tired and we were falling behind. Picnic at Coorong national park was lovely with nice local produce. Sam, also was very helpful and was making sure everyone getting on and off the kayaks without any troubles. Stunning sunset on our way back was so worth it and the calm weather at the end of the day made the whole experience a very special one and one to remember. Highly recommend for anyone even without previous experience paddling.

We did a fantastic guided kayaking tour from Hindmarsh Island across to the Murray Mouth and into the lower reaches of the Coorong. The paddling was fairly easy and the pace was suitable for all ages. Our guide, Leon, a Goolwa son, born and bred, was extremely knowledgeable. He explained the history of the lower Murray from pre-settlement to modern times. The ecology, the bird life, the fish and the marine mammals. We learned a little of the local Indigenous peoples and their way of life. We walked over the sand dunes to survey the Southern Ocean and the Murray/Coorong waterways, with some explanation of the local bush tucker. We got right up close to fur seals, pelicans, the local and migratory birds, all the while gently paddling on the peaceful waters. To top it off, we enjoyed a delicious morning tea and lunch cooked on the beach. Unforgettable and outstanding value for money. Thanks Leon and all the team at Canoe the Coorong. Patrick and...

An unforgettable family experience! My husband, our 11-year-old, and I had the pleasure of joining a sunset canoe tour that exceeded all expectations.

Despite the slight change in plans due to water levels and winds, Brenton and the tour guides handled everything with finesse, prioritising our safety while ensuring an incredible adventure. Their knowledge and enthusiasm made the trip truly enjoyable.

We were treated to a mesmerizing showcase of nature's wonders – spotting seals, admiring water birds, and even exploring the dunes of Goolwa beach. From dancing in the water to uncover pipis to tasting bushtucker, every moment was filled with excitement. The highlight? A breathtaking picnic in the dunes culminating in a serene sunset view.

Our family had an absolute blast and would wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone exploring the area. A huge thank you to Brenton and the fantastic guides for making this journey one...

Rivers End Explorer Tour. A fantastic day out! Never having been kayaking before I was a little apprehensive but from the time we arrived where we were warmly welcomed by Brenton and the run through by our guide James settled any nerves I had. A beautiful relaxing paddle with a wealth of information from James on the abundant bird life followed by the supplied morning tea on the bank of the river. We then took a short walk across the dunes learning about and sampling bush tucker until we reached the Southern Ocean where after doing some cockling you could have a quick dip. Back to the river bank and James & Greg, our other guide, cooked up our cockles for a tasty lunch. Paddle back to their new base property and we finished our day. I highly recommend this experience, relaxing, professional and attention to detail made it a day to remember.
