Sullivans Cove Distillery — Local services in Hobart

Harry was such a great guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. After a long time I was able to visit my favourite Australian whisky maker. Was good to be able to hear about some of the history about distilleries in Tasmania and seeing the whisky making process. The tasting was great, loved every bit of it.

I arrived early and the front of house staff were extremely friendly. Was offered two whisky to taste, both of which can only be had at the distillery.

Ended up purchasing two bottles to be delivered and service was great, made sure everything was right before I was on my way.

My husband is a whisky lover, so we booked in for the 1 hour tour at Sullivan’s Cove. Reuben, our tour guide, was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable and he made it fun for all. The story of the distillery is excellent, a lovely copper kettle called Myrtle and a passionate team that are punching way above their weight winning accolades for the worlds best whisky! I appreciate different wines and spirits, but have never gotten into whisky, until now! Hubby will be sharing his Sullivan’s Cove purchases!! Fantastic tour with Shana who was very knowledgeable and proud to be part of the Sullivans Cove team, along the tour we also had drabs of almost of things from the Wash through to he final beautiful product. My only issue with this Distillery is that most of the product was GONE! And even the 3x200ml sample pack was over $400AUD! the foreign markets ravage Australian products leaving locals/visitors with minimal amounts of availability. If a 3 pack totals under an entire 750ml bottle at a higher premium there is something inherently wrong with the system.
