Beautiful little dog park. Well maintained although the water bowls could be cleaned more regularly. Plenty of shaded seating areas and double gated access for safety.

Lovely having this area just 10 minutes walk from home. Our morning walks are done at Windsor and its a clean, well maintained area which we always enjoy.

Travelled from Hobart up to Launceston for the Monaro Nationals at Windsor Park. Great event planning from all those involved!

Such a great place to visit! Fantastic health services in the centre, with a great cafe and a childcare centre. Good sports grounds and clubhouses, parking facilities are good too, but will need more as this facility is growing.

The precinct grounds are lovely. The park is beautifully landscaped with an oval/amphitheatre in the middle of the park for friends and families to use, play backyard cricket, and bbq facilities for picnicking. The friendly West Tamar council staff do an amazing job looking after the park. They have landscaped a naturally beautiful Aussie native park. It once was a flat seasonal flood plain, with overgrown invasive flora, they have used landfill to raise the land in areas to create small mounded flood barriers, which are planted with flowering Aussie shrubs, grasses, ground cover and trees to attract birds, surrounded by walking paths. They've created a wetlands pond that has given refuge to birds. There are walking trails through the diverse gardens and natural rock gardens, attracting skinks, insects, echidna, etc. Some original trees used to create the garden, with the addition of lots of younger trees. They built a well raised pathway to a birdhide in the flood plain alongside it. There is also a well maintained and loved dog park. They have built a run-off water collection point between the dog park and their community garden, which has naturally become a frog breeding pond. Unfortunately, it's just built for runoff, so it dries out in summer. I'd love to see it stay full all year. I've seen many tadpoles of Tassie endemic frog species. I've sighted adult Southern bell frogs there. I've also seen pond herons feeding there.

In the park surrounds I've spotted marsh harriers, Wedge-tailed Eagles, Tassie's endemic White Morphed Goshawk and our endemic Green Rosella, Tawny Frogmouths, Kookaburras, Black Headed Shrike, ducks, turbo crooks, Blue-tonged Lizard, and a few happily dumped Roosters. In the creek, we've seen eels and unfortunately invasive Gambezi fish.

Enthusiast's fly thier RC Eagles, biplanes, and even an RC Spitfire over the open grassed area!...

I attend the Medical Centre at the complex After my consultations I enjoy a stroll to the cafe; I usually order a flat white coffee or an iced coffee. I thoroughly recommend this place. The toilets are hygienic. The complex is large, well maintained and cleaned. There is some artwork hanging depicting scenes of...

Dog park isnt what it used to be. Cant be bothered putting the bin anywhere near the park, or replacing benches or replacing trees or providing something for dogs to drink out of. It will at least be less of a lake in winter. Edit: 2022 Obviously much has been done since I wrote this 2017,...
