It is mostly take away food but they do have interesting food selection that are not available in any other markets. Worth visiting if you are in the area/ if you have a car visiting from cbd/ Palmerston.
The food varies alot every year, some years are very happening, some years are quite. It's the newest market in Darwin, only here from before covid, closed during covid and it's back now. It's not bad this year (2024).
Some vegs and fruit but don't expect much, if you are after veg and fruit best to go to the rapid creek market on Sat & Sunday morning.
They have live music. It's cozy, intimate, not too big, not too small, essentially a good alternative to mindil market for locals, and a good alternative for Palmerston market (other markets in Darwin are in the morning). Plenty of place to sit and eat, easy parking.
