Nice park, cabin needed updating, great pool unfortunately we were told we had to leave by 10 am even though we booked the Australia day weekend special that stated late checkout at 4pm on the Monday. We stated that it said 4pm checkout we were then told we could leave at 12 noon because someone else was coming into the Cabin,we left about 9.30 am as we were a bit upset. On our way home received a email from Deb saying it was not 4pm checkout as we read in their advertisement for the special.Pointed out to Deb the advertisement where it said 4pm checkout for special. We then received email saying that was for the previous weekend and we stayed the weekend after Australia day,Australia day was a Wednesday and we stayed weekend after Australia day,no date in the add as to which weekend the late checkout was for.Reply from owner are lies there was no date advertised for the Australia Day special there was no special after Australia day for 12 noon checkout because there was no advertised special and we were first told to leave at 10.00am when we questioned that it was 4 pm checkout was told we could leave at 12 noon.I don't think these people know how to be truthful.Bad behaviour...
Read moreI have been coming to manning point since I was 2 years old and have stayed across both the caravan parks, and I can tell you that nothing has changed (except the amount of people coming here because it’s not as busy as what it use to be). The pool needs refurbishing, as when there is a high load the water turns milky white (been happening since it was installed as there isn’t enough filtration) the sites are not kept well and the slabs aren’t long enough, they are cracked, uneven and they need replacing (well the ones in the family zone do.. not sure why they don’t just rip it up and put down Astro turf). They use to have a slide into the pool but that is gone, and now the jumping pillow is gone, with nothing to replace it with. The roads are horrible and have been this way for as long as I can remember. This park has changed hands many times with the promise that things will get better but they never do. Something drastic needs to be done to this park if you’re going to charge big4 prices without the...
Read morePros: The staff are very friendly and accommodating Close to the water Pool area is nice
Cons: The rest of the park is quite run down, and is in need of upgrading. Mostly permanent onsite vans with a few cabins and camp sites in between.
We had a power surge while there which unfortunately fried our caravan TV and it no longer works :(
We hadn't been to Manning Point before. It is a sleepy and very small town, and aside from fishing and water sports, there isn't a lot to do. It's lovely if you like that sort of slow and quiet holiday, but if you'd like easy access to a variety of shops, cafes, and things to do, you'd be best going to a bigger town. There is a general store, a bowling club, and a restaurant. The beach is not patrolled, and is 4WD friendly. We spent most days driving 30-60mins north or south to beaches that were easier to swim at with our young boys. We did have a nice time though, and the park was small enough that we were happy for our kids to ride around on their...
