My brother in christ, I still can't believe what happend.

So, me and a mate got to manning point via boat from taree, we were going to the bowlo but thought we'd have a look at the menu. We seen pizza and thought that'll be quick, cheap and easy. Wrong.

We had to wait 1 hour and 45 minutes for our 2 pizzas. We watched 4 other people come in, sit down be served, eat an entire meal and leave in the time we had to wait. The waitress came and said "your pizza will only be another 3 minutes. To which i replied pretty nicely given the situation "Ok, well if he hasnt started cooking tell him not to bother, we will go to the Bowlo as its already been an hour and a half" the waitress was amazed how long it had been and apologized. About 5 minutes later, the "chef" came out and asked "do you want to eat here or take-away?" Given we had already waited so long and only went there for the view we said "we'll have it here" to which he said "you dont have to" and i said "nah, we want it here" he then said, pointing at us, alright but let me tell you "do not pick on my staff". We could not believe what had just been said especially after we had waited an hour and 45 (you could of driven to newcastle in that time) we watched multiple people come and go. We didnt pick on anybody. The waitress then came over and apologized and said "he has had a big night, to which i said "you only had 8 customers and i know because i was here when you opened." I know reading this you probably feel there's more to it, like I was angry or frustrated but I really wasn't. We were more so just amazed at how it could take so long given there was barely anyone there.

Then, the icing on the cake, my mate had a meatlovers, I had a supreme, they were basically identical. The pizza base was small, thin and soggy with oil. Absolute garbage pizzas and $28 a pop.

I never write reviews, but this needs to be shared.

To summarise.

Nearly 2 hour wait for $28 disgusting pizza. Watched multiple customers come and go in that time. Then got abused by the "chef" for letting the waitress know it had been over an hour and a half. Read the other reviews, very similar...

Went here for lunch, the view was amazing absolutely beautiful sitting out on the deck. The customer service was great, but the wait time was ridiculous. We ordered main meals only from the lunch menu no entree and waited over an hour for them to come out.they also came out at different times so by the time the last 3 of us got our meals the first 3 had already finished theirs. Unfortunately the cooked prawns were cold and not much flavour, food was pretty basic sorry to say. Would have loved to see some oysters on...

2021 This place is right on (above) the water with fabulous views across and down the river. It's always nice sitting on the covered deck with a gentle breeze off the water. Having said that the food is quite average. Lots of frozen seafood with salad and very ordinary chips. But, the service is very friendly and very welcoming. 2019 Nice place on the water for lunch. Its only recently reopened. We had coffees and cake....
