Maria Island Ferry 10:00am 27th June Triabunna to Maria Island.
The crew managing the disembarking & boarding process at the Triabunna wharf could show better guidance, manners & courtesy to passengers.
One female crew member removed the small chain leading on to the ramp then promptly walked away, so passengers read that as it’s opened & starting to walk on to the ramp only to hear from another female crew member near the gangway shout out to wait for passengers disembarking which in itself would make sense, not that those boarding could see that was the exit point nor would have likely known there was no other exit point.
Then another female crew member shouted from near the ferry gangway to clear a path for those disembarking.
Then a male crew member checking tickets at the ramp tells the passengers to get in a line with their group with no cursory please or friendliness.
Overall crew members directions, manners & friendliness were sadly lacking in my opinion. Step up & show some good hospitality that passengers will enjoy, remember & give positive feedback.
The one positive the Captain did a great job berthing the boat & providing some local tourist type information, well done skipper.
