I spent 5 minutes there lol the wind would have blown away any golf clubs balls participants spectators birds other such wildlife I was curious as to how a golf course looks like. Definitely more impressive than mini golf lol Today wasn't such a good day for assessing Mornington Golf Club however seems dandy to me when there are not gale force winds driving your golf ball high into the trees against their will Apparently weddings can take place here. Lovely Since I know extremely little about Gentleman Only Ladies Forbidden (inaccurate in 2023)I would say the site of this sport is perfect I guess Take a look for yourself. Posh I would call it particularly as the homes surrounding the course are worth a small fortune indeed. You are right near the beach. End of essay ⛳⛳🏌️🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️ PS I stayed in my vehicle the whole 5min bar 30 seconds to retrieve some 9 stray pine cones for our fireplace 😆😁😂😆 drive carefully. Narrow road. You must share. Council didn't want to spend too much on a bitumen...

MGC may be one of the best golf clubs in Melbourne. It is well managed, friendly, fairly inexpensive, and is a moderately demanding and well - kept course, with beautiful views of the bay, and the city in the distance. We have a master plan for development, which is actively underway. There is an inexpensive "boutique" restaurant on-site, with a superb selection of meals, offered by our own chefs, and with a beautiful view of the nearby course. And, of course, we have a pleasant bar, with views of the course, outside tables and relaxing areas, and one of our putting greens. The Club also caters for functions, including weddings, and boasts both upstairs and ground floor dining and function facilities, as well as an outdoor balcony, with a superb view of the course, looking down the fairways, and across to the bay. I find the Pro shop to be well - stocked generally. The staff are very helpful, knowledgeable, and, as one would expect, superb players. Coaching and booking are...

A tricky one to review. PROS: incredible views from most holes if the bay across to the city. fairways in good condition Brilliantly designed club house and spike bar. there are some seriously stunning holes.

CONS: slow play, 5.5 hours. Talking to members this is common. There are also no Marshall’s to ensure quick play and speed up slow groups. course etiquette - groups of 6 in front of us, some in tshirts, no one policing the “strict” course rules. I found the undulating fairways serious work, and the greens I didn’t enjoy either. Greens were rarely flat and all very difficult to read all day, I prefer course with more true roll that reward a good putt, this course probably rewards local knowledge a lot. the wind was crazy on the day we played. not much water on course

Golfers - I know we are all different, I’m glad I played this one but this one was not for me more than...

OMG for a public course, this would have to be out top 5 ! It beautiful amazing views of the hills, and beach, extremely well kept fairways and greens, friendly staff in the Pro shop ! The Bayview restaurant is on site ( great for functions) and we were able to purchase basic hot food eg pies, sausage rolls sandwiches for golfers. The carts are quiet and new ( no offensive petrol smell) The course is also very safe - without a huge risk of walking into someones golf ball. Lots of Par 4holes.

A long course with some challenging holes, a mixture of sloping fairways (mostly right to left), elevated holes and others with bunkers adding to the challenge. When I played many of the bunkers were hard to play as they were firm to hard, lacking loose sand. There had been a fair amount of rain for the few days prior to playing which may have contributed. Overall not one of my favorite courses, best to avoid if wet.
