The Avenue Shopping Centre — Local services in Melbourne

Yet another poor experience at this store. We don't have much choice in Sunshine. It's either Ardeer or Braybrook and the myriad of click and collect trolleys, making shopping a hazard! Today it was the cash self serve at the Avenue. It was, of course, not working as per usual but asking (POLITELY) why it wasn't working and a note to inform customers of the fact, I was told it's broken and waiting for repair after which she walked off. No apology or placing a note on the register. I was informed that a manager was not available. What a surprise!! Terrible service in general! This would never happen in the East of Melbourne. Thought I’d grab a little treat for the kids, it was priced at $3.50. When I went to pay, I was charged $3.75. I asked the lady behind the counter why, and she said it’s because the total was under $10. Quite different, it is here, run down and deserted. It seems to be. Un renovated or updated the shops are, with some of the buildings lacking business & opening regularly. If I live near busy and this was my local I'd be a little upset.
