Went here with my toddler after reading on their website it was inclusive of all children and that they welcome young babies. Went into the toddler area and my son almost got his head jumped on several times by much older children. In fear of his safety, I went into the only other section I was told about which was the open play. I went to the corner of the room and again, he was almost balled over and jumped on by older children including the male staff member there.
I left after 5 minutes due to severe safety concerns for my son. I emailed my feedback to the owner and had no response. Called a week later to express my concern. He told me that it wasnāt his issue as parents and support workers should be supervising and if they donāt then thereās nothing he can do. This is concerning as itās not taking ownership of the safety of your premise. He told me support workers are ālazyā and itās not his fault if they arenāt doing their job.
He told me I should have ventured into other rooms which I had not been told were accessible. I wasnāt going to āventureā into closed rooms on their premises⦠I find the owners response to my experience very dismissive and I will never be returning to this venue. I completely understand its catering for neurodivergent children but this does not mean you can compromise the safety...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTook my grandkids to Bounce last week and We Rock the Spectrum Berwick team was there. I was so amazed with them that this week I took my grandkids to their play centre and you know when they LOVE being somewhereā¦.. they didnāt want to leave (when they got home they made Dad promise to take them back). As a grandparent, itās a privilege to be a part of my grandchildrensā learning and growing. Anne & Kon thank you for creating a safe, warm and welcoming space for kids to interact through play while experiencing that they donāt have to shy-away from what they donāt understand. Your play centre is definitely a PERFECT environment for children of ALL abilities to learn and grow together. Best of all, it brings awareness and opens up conversations for us, as adults, to have with our kids about being inclusive....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI canāt tell you how wonderful Anne and Con both areā¦they helped us celebrate my sons 10th birthday when no one from his school was able to attend by getting all the social We Rock community they had, and they made us feel welcome and loved and helped my son celebrate his 10th birthday. The community of people we didnāt even know were there to help us celebrate with love, support and gifts for my little boy when we thought that it would all go unnoticed on this special day, instead it was so much more special for all of us and such a humbling experience that we still have genuine people out there.
Thank you again to Anne and Con and to the group that joined us also a huge hug and we canāt wait to see you now in socials
lots of love Matt...
