Today we wanted to have lunch before the movie so we chose the Cafe at the theatre. We ordered our lunch lasagne very small piece, hubby ordered Gourmet Beef roll, we asked was it pulled beef or slices no one knew.So we went ahead with the order. Then they couldnāt put into computer it wasnāt on the list, 4 people later one rude older manager. He said charge for a filo pastry we said thatās $2 dearer than a roll so after 5-8 mins waiting to put into computer. After 25 mins wait our lunch arrived . Well Lasagne small, gourmet Beef Roll turned out it was a Sausage roll. I asked the girl where was my husbands beef roll she said thatās it.I asked how can they call this Gourmet Beef roll itās a sausage roll. She said thatās what you ordered. At no time was I rude to this girl just asked why itās called a Gourmet Beef Roll. It should be named a sausage roll. Not long after I spoke to the older man manager who informed me I upset his girl ,at no time did I speak rude or nasty.Others sitting in cafe couldnāt believe what he said as they agreed I didnāt say any thing wrong. Our tea and coffee never arrived till we had to go into movie. We paid extra to go into Bogarts better seating Etc. If you are shorter and want to lean back rather than sitting up you wonāt see the movie. The Rail is at a height when you push back your head you canāt see the bottom of the screen All up donāt bother going to eat or pay extra for Bogarts seating not worth the money. The older manager needs to learn to smile , respect his customers and ask what the problem is.Couldnāt careless. My Husband didnāt want pastry he wanted a roll .He left his $16 sausage roll....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDonāt go here. Donāt waste your money. We arrived 20 minutes before the movie started, purchased tickets at the counter from a rude young staff member who didnāt smile once. When we gave our tickets to the staff at the door she was occupied in conversation with another staff member, briefly looked at our tickets and pointed towards cinema 1, didnāt look at us throughout the entire interaction. We entered the very old fashioned cinema and was welcomed with a funky smell and torn seats. Once the movie started an older woman staff member entered the cinema and was staring at everyone sat there, looking at what they were eating and drinking, she came over and told us we couldnāt eat any food purchased outside of the cinema and that she would āhave to take it away and put it in the binā we offered to put it back in our bag which she then responded with āIāll just take the whole bagā. We ended up putting the food back in our car and returned to the screen. The film was good however the overpowering scent of mildew and dust was distracting. The same woman came back halfway through the film to check everyone in there wasnāt consuming food or drink purchased elsewhere. She was very rude the whole time. We hadnāt read anywhere you couldnāt take your own snacks, and Iāve never been to a cinema where you couldnāt. They need to make this much clearer before you purchase tickets. Would never return, all staff we encountered were rude and unhelpful. Not worth the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreScreens are good but these cinemas have very poor bass isolation and higher frequencies travel through the walls way more than they should.
Meaning, if you are watching a quiet film and there's a loud film next door, it sounds like there's an earthquake happening, which is distracting while you are trying to engage with your quiet film.
With cinemas in Sydney and Melbourne, I can hear a trace of sub-bass frequency sometimes, never any other frequencies, and it never ruins the film I'm watching.
Sub-bass travels through foundations and the ground easily, so It's possible they may not have used bass isolation technology properly when constructing the cimema, or not used it at all? It sounds like the walls are too thin too.
Looking forward to a new cinema set to open in Albany, so I can enjoy some...
