Gar Heng Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Western Australia

It was busy when I ordered lemon chicken with sauce and special fried rice. They gave me my order and completely forgot about the rice. I get home, everyone is starving and we realise there is no rice. I phone them and I'm asked by the young man who screwed up my order if I'm coming back to collect the rice. He then tells me the restaurant doesn't deliver. I replied that I had no choice but to come back. So while the rest of the food at home goes cold I went back to the restaurant. He's just sitting on his a$$ doing nothing and casially slides the rice over to me. I explained to him that dinner was ruined because he didn't check my order and he just kind of blankly stared at me slightly shrugging his shoulders. He didn't care one bit. He's not at all helpful and IMO shouldn't be the face of the business. The food was lovely and very well prepared with huge portions. Get heaps for your dollar. I did an online order to Gar Heng Chinese at around 5.10pm. I was text messaged it would be ready at 5.27pm which I thought was unrealistic because all the previous times I've ordered Chinese takeaway at Gar Heng it's usually 20 minutes late. When I went to pick it up, (I gave then an extra 10 minutes), I stood there for 20 minutes and not once did the man at the counter acknowledge me nor ask me for my order. I watched him go in and out of the kitchen several times, often spending minutes in there, and twice he answered the phone right in front of me, not once looking at me or even saying "I'll be with you shortly". so not only did I have to wait an extra 20 minutes, I got completely ignored. Food was really not good😢 im so sorry but i just have to send a review. the place was dirty. we went here on mother’s day dinner for a short vacation to albany checked online recommendations and tried out their food. place was so dirty, foods and plates from other tables were not cleaned and smells so bad. lights were off, only 2 tables were available for use because others are not cleaned yet. we ordered a lot. their chicken and prawns were battered so thick and seems like not fresh and had just been reheated. springrolls taste bad. fried rice taste unseasoned, the satay beef was okay but still was really not happy. serving was generous though and that’s the only good thing but we can’t even finish half of it because it seems like they have just been reheated. i hope you guys improve your food and your place. pleass observe...
