MYDRIVER Margaret River — Local services in Prevelly

When i was researching my 3D2D Margaret River wineries tour I contacted a number of drivers/guides. It was immediately clear that Rob was a cut above the rest, in terms of his knowledge of wines & wineries (20+ years of experience himself in the wine industry), access to small batch artisanal winemakers, and knowing the best restaurants, accommodations in the area.

TL;DR is if you are serious about your wines and making the most of your limited time Margaret River then you want Rob to be your guide & designated driver.

Before our trip, I liased with Rob over e-mail, planning our itinerary of wineries & restaurants together. Once settled, Rob took care of all the reservations and sent me a PDF of the itinerary broken down daily.

Rob picked us up each day from our hotel in a luxury sedan, and at each winery, he would accompany us in to hand us off to the hosts. It was warming to see how respected Rob was by the locals at our hotel & destinations. Rob also made sure to keep us on schedule… harder than it looks! And he’s relatable - he’s Aussie, he’s British, he lived in HK for decades!
