Dont want to hammer a biz. The food was good. Issue we have is taking phone orders. Donāt bother taking them if you are only going to cook the food once i arrive and announce myself at the counter. I was told on the phone when placing the order that it would be ready in approx 30mins. I go down there on time and wait. After approx 10mins later, I approach the counter and itās only then that I was told they will start cooking! 30mins later I get the meal⦠why take phone orders? Well over an hour for the food. If concerned with wastage and no shows, take payment over phone, use a QR code to an order website. Itās completely pointless the way you handle the phone orders. In short, I may as well just go to the shop and order. Phone orders are to make ordering more convenient, rather then wait at the shop while being cooked. Just tell people you donāt take...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely terrible experience. Spent around $70, and I wouldn't even pay $15 for itāyou could get better at a petrol station. Called up and explained it was for a birthday and arranged a pickup time, but they refused a refund unless we returned all the food, including what we had already eaten. I'm telling my friends and family to steer clear at all costs.
Also, a bacon and egg burger for $12 comes with no salt, pepper, sauce, or any toppings unless you pay extra. It's just poorly cooked bacon and egg between two buns. The scallops were absolutely drenched in oil, just like the fish. Iāve also read a few existing reviews, and all the recent ones say similar things.
At least they serve customers instore first instead of picking up the phone but leads to ended call...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy personal experience Splashes has always been an unpleasant experience for myself. It's super greasy and the batter/crumb is awful. Never purchase fish of the day, we believe it's Basa. So if they mess your family meal up and give you the wrong fish you may receive Basa. Unsure what oil is used or if the deep fryer is cleaned enough, but the oil on the fish always makes me nauseous. I recently had the Spanish Mackerel grilled and it was much nicer than anything I've had so that's saying something. I suggest grilled over battered & crumb...
