Lots of squid here. If you go on a windy day, expect it to be windy as there will be lots of wind. The jetty goes out into the water. It's almost like you're Jesus, walking on water. Amazing technology. There is a camp ground right next door. Good spot for a weekend away with the family. There are lights at night with its handy for seeing in the dark, unless you're an owl then you should have no worries. Once I saw a kid there at night who looked too young to be unsupervised and said he'd been awake for 2 days and he asked to "have a turn" off my fishing rod. I asked him if his mother knew where he was. He said "sometimes if I'm hungry, I just eat raw squid". I suspected he was self medicating. He was harmless in the end. Read moreAwesome easy to walk jetty, has been recently built at a cost of 3.9M to replace the old conveyor jetty which use to run material to ships for abroad. The old jetty is still there and looks like a skeleton to best describe it however the new jetty is brilliant and a much better jetty, however the seaweed is no longer there as the old jetty is closer to the seaweed, so the squid aren’t as much as they use to be. Read moreI was looking for caves and found this place, very beautiful and scenic and the best part there is a caravan park next to it. Beach is scenic and 700 meter walk from the cave that you would definitely like to see. I would recommend this place to chill relax. I think camping is not allowed but you can stay in the open area caravan park and can pay upfront for your stay without booking. Loved this place. Recommend for group of friends not recommended...
