I donโ€™t usually write reviews and/or give 1 star ratings as I am a quite positive and optimistic person, however I thought I should write this and bring this to your attention as myself and my family have been quite disappointed with the restaurant in the Club and the procedures/management of how it is run. The past 2 experiences I have had with my family at the restaurant, myself and my family have been let down and disappointed - therefore leaving the restaurant with a a unsatisfied/upsetting end to the night.

The first experience within the restaurant, we waited for our meals for approximately 45mins-1hour. Within this time, I checked to see where our meals were from one of the staff members and I was told they had run out of gas. If I didnโ€™t ask, I wouldnโ€™t have known and we wouldโ€™ve waited even longer... We then asked for a refund and went somewhere else as we were quite hungry and sick of waiting.

The second experience (Friday night), my brother booked a table the day before over the phone and on arrival, we were told there was no booking. Additionally, we ordered our meals quickly so we could beat the rush - which we thought we did. However, we waited for 1-hour and 30-mins for our food, and it still didnโ€™t come out. People that ordered well after us received their meals in a timely manner. We were disgusted and frustrated that we had to wait this long, without any communication by the person in charge and/or the four waitresses/waiter. There seemed to be other people who were waiting a long time as well (as I saw people waving their table number around for the staff to see). The staff member that saw them waving their table number just gave them a thumbs up and walked off (absolutely no communication).

The food was left out for a long period time underneath the heat lamps and I saw waitresses standing around and fluffing about with the receipts looking confused and/or didnโ€™t know what to do with the food (even though there were 4 of them on for that night).

We did receive a complimentary garlic bread, however this was given to us after waiting 50-mins into the already long wait. We were told that โ€œyour food would be out nextโ€ which it wasnโ€™t, and saw other tables being delivered their food. It got to 8pm (and we ordered at 6:32pm) still no food, so we decided to get a refund instead (not worth our money and time if we are waiting for 1.5 hours for food when other people who ordered well after us were being fed).

As addressed above, this is disappointing as not only was my family and myself looking forward to eating our meals, but, we love Headland Golf Club and my parents have been members for a very long time. However, it is sad that the restaurantsโ€™ system and lack of communication to their customers lets down the Club, specifically, the bar. The bar staff and their professionalism and management are absolutely fantastic - I couldnโ€™t fault them.

In contrast, something seriously needs to be done with the restaurant management, the system between ordering food and delivering it to the tables and communication between the restaurant staff and...

I'm pretty new to golf and think this is a great venue both for the game and the great view and food from the club house. Weekends during your round theres food ute that keeps you hydrated and yummy sarnies. There are some tough holes that require you to play straight as there's lots of dangers on both sides of most holes. The front has a lot of trees, back 9 is more wide but with water as the main danger. I prefer the back as the elevation on the tees is very nice. Bunkers don't come into play that often and are almost all greenside, which is a way they could toughen this course up to bring some in that are drivable. The course is kept in great nic both fairway and greens which play pretty straight but the speed can catch you out easily. It can be both really fast play or very slow, depends on the day but either way a lovely spot to be with a view over the sunny coast thats...

A very late review. I was married here 12 Years Ago.

The staff went out of their way to make our special day even more special.

It was raining on and off the day of the day of our wedding and for free of charge they offered us a section of the golf club that was under cover and going to set it up beautifully for my husband and I to get married.

Then I 110% knew this was even better place then I thought.

I was a very young bride and did not know all the edict of a wedding and they solved every issues without my husband and I knowing things where going wrong.

Thank you from the bottom of our heart for hosting the best day of my Husbands and Myself most special day in the world.

When we drive past we get butterflies of happiness and love.

As you can see by the reviews on this page this is the...

Headland Golf Club is in perfect condition at the moment. Played 18 holes on plush fairways and medium speed greens today. The presentation is immaculate and with great facilities; bar, kitchen, car parks, practice areas, it makes for a good day out. Footpaths around the clubhouse are quite steep watch your footing and with all the rain we've had recently don't go off the fairway! Very picturesque with some views of the ocean, give it a go, you'll be glad you did.
