Doltone House Western Sydney — Local services in Sydney

We had a wedding at the Marconi reception in the colasseo room recently . The room itself is beautiful. However , we were extremely disappointed with their poor service . We had so many complaints from guests which left us feeling embarrassed and frustrated to say the least . One of our important guests had their chicken undercooked, she asked for it to be replaced they wouldn’t replace it . Most people felt that the quality of your service was very poor which left us again extremely disappointed. Another guest kept calling the waiter but they ignored him . You think that you go to a reputable wedding reception like the dolton house and pay an arm and a leg to get a great service in return from a well know and established business ? Well it wasn’t the case with us!!!!

We paid extra for replenishment throughout the night that we didnt get . We kept reminding them in the lead up to the wedding that the most important thing for us is the food and The mezza because one of our relatives had a wedding there and it was terrible. People till now are still talking about it and how terrible it was . They assured us that everything will be served exactly what we asked for in the contract . They were few things that we paid for they didn’t include . They didnt keep their promises. On Our bridal table the mezza wasn’t replenished . We asked for the flat soft drink to be changed , the waiter took forever to replace it after I called him few times . The bridal table was treated like any other table . I have been to so many weddings at other dolton house receptions and I have seen how they treat the bridal party , amazingly ! unlike this reception! Also , The waiters would clear the tables even before the guests finished their food . They looked like they really didn’t care . Not to mention the attitude of the manager on that night. She was Up herself and unprofessional. We will never recommend this place to any one we know .

Planning a wedding can be extremely stressful and difficult as it is . It takes months if not years of planning and preparation not to mention how costly it is for only to be ruined by a bad service from this reception . You do not understand how stressed we have been because of this ?? We deserve a compensation for the poor service and the way we were treated ! Dolton house should pay more attention to what happens at their reception in the western Sydney otherwise you are going to loose a lot...

My husband and I had our wedding here 2 weeks ago. The venue is the most beautiful venue in the West. Not to mention the first-class and best service provided by their team.

We needed to postpone our wedding reception due to COVID restrictions and we changed venues as we were not happy with the previous venue's service during the lockdown. When we changed to Doltone House Marconi, the team made it an easy and stress-free process. We worked closely with their amazing management team Christine and John to create the perfect night for our 300+ guests on a tight timeline and were completely stunned by the end result on the night. On the night, I had a big wedding dress and one of the wonderful Doltone team members, Mimma made sure I was comfortable, well-fed and hydrated throughout the night. Anthony was our Doltone MC on the night and he was fantastic and professional (even with the pronounciation of the Vietnamese elder guests).

The venue itself is lovely, however I had serious problems with my experience with Doltone House and the staff with my wedding reception. They owe me thousands of dollars and I've put in a complaint with Fair Trading NSW, and Doltone House has ignored the Fair Trading Representative's attempts of contact as well as my own. Fair Trading has advised me to escalate my case with NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal to resolve the issue. My whole experience with them just went downhill after I signed the contract with them and they got money from me. The 'great service' disappeared as soon as you pay the deposit. A friend of a friend is also having the same experience with their upcoming wedding in July. My experience with Doltone House really soured the happy memory of my wedding, especially when I got a passive aggressive email the night before my wedding day. Who even does that.
