Today the rescue boat watched on as myself and a kayaker were resuced by locals on jetskis. While the rescue patrol boat did nothing, as the wind conditions changed from 20kts to 55kts in half an hour.

It's a stunning beach, suitable for families with young children as it is shallow and not many waves. I find that the jet skiers in Summer can make it a bit noisy although not a deal breaker to not visit this beach. A nice beach which is less busy than Brighton itself. There are toilets and showers - with an open changing area. The beach is shallow initially and the waves aren't too intense. There are jet skies around which is noisy and irksome due to their fumes. Dogs are allowed to be off leash and I've sure seen some cute fellas around.
