Iām a local resident and have been shopping at Petstock Belrose for a long time, but this was my firstāand definitely lastāgrooming experience here.
I took my dog in for a nail trim and feet trim. The groomer (a larger lady, possibly named Jane) told us to leave and made sure we were not in sight of our dog, which we respected. When we returned, I noticed one of my dogās nails was bleedingāsomething the groomer never mentioned. We had to discover it ourselves.
We reported this to the assistant store manager, who then spoke to the groomer. Shockingly, she gave a completely different version of the story. There was not a single apology. Instead, she blamed our dog for being scared and uncooperative. She even denied there was any bleeding and claimed the red liquid was just a reaction from the powder she applied.
But why would you apply powder if it was just a normal nail trim? You applied it after we pointed out the bleedingāso clearly you knew something was wrong. She also falsely claimed we had been watching the entire time, which is simply untrue.
This is not an āaccident.ā It is your responsibility to decide whether you are capable of safely providing the service. But if you agree to groom a dog, then you must also take full responsibility for how itās doneāincluding being honest and transparent when something goes wrong.
As someone who has trusted Petstock for years, I am extremely disappointed. Think twice before trusting this place...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAvoid the groomers here! Had so many issues! Firstly the old groomers leaves anbru and took mine and other customers details with her and started messaging about moving the groomers to Pymble trying to poach their customers, told the store and didn't have an apology or anything, my details should be safe with you not used to cold call by external businesses! Then the new groomers didn't turn up at 9am when we had an appointment booked to open the store and we were waiting outside for 20 minutes and then we had to leave, we had no call from anyone and had to call later to chase and apparently there was traffic, which I get but when I asked when I could get my dog groomed they had no appointments for another 2 weeks! So I had to chase and because you got stuck in traffic I have to wait two weeks to get my dog groomed? How does that figure? If I hadn't turned up for my appointment I would've been charged $50 for a no show but you no show and I have to wait? As a customer who was let down by your staff I should have been a priority one to call and apologize and second to get my dog groomed but I wasn't. I complained to online customer service and was told I'd be called by the area manager and manager and after 3 weeks had one missed call from the store and that was it, they didn't bother again. I won't be shopping with Petstock again because of the terrible...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went into the store to purchase a budgerigar. The signs on the aviary indicated $45 each or $80 a pair. The manager on duty refused to sell me the budgerigar that I wanted and proceeded to tell me that these birds are happier in a flock. When I explained to her that I only wanted the one at this stage and indicated to the sign which explicitly read $ 45 each with no other notice that the birds are only sold in pairs. She went on a rant about her being a bird behavioural therapist and that she wants to make sure the birds are going to a good home. Then has the audacity to try and upsell a larger aviary, so I can purchase a pair of the birds. I made it clear to her that I only wanted one bird. She then had the nerve to tell me that she is the manager of the store and they are her policies and blatantly refused to sell me the bird. Not only is this the last time that I will shop at Petstock Belrose I'm not setting foot in another Petstock...
