Great day hike, don't rush it. The guide says 5 hours we took 6.5 hrs because we took lots of photos with a digital camera and needed to change lens etc. Our actual moving time according to All Trails was only 4.5 hrs and this was brisk walking. The walk is about 16km return and mainly undulating through a range of different vegetation, (which makes the walk even more fun and beautiful). The uphill on the way back is the most challenging part, but stairs and switchbacks make the incline manageable. There were plenty of fit people in their 60s and 70's doing the walk in small groups. There are beautiful views along the way, and the views at the end make it a worth it.

Read moreFantastic views and a great walk. Takes about 5 hours return from car park. We did it just under with a few photo stops and a longer break for lunch while we enjoyed the view. It takes 1 hour to get to the first lookout that overlooks Cape Raoul. Then another 1.5 hours to get to the lookout on the tip of the cape. The whole track is well maintained and the second part has multiple switchbacks for the long downward climb to the cape plus 264 block steps.
