You'll pull up to a booth where a person will come to your window where you'll pay for the ticket and told which lane to wait in. Most of your day will be waiting for this ferry. The ride is 15 minds and Bruney is less than and hour to drive across, but we spent from 5pm until 7pm waiting in the car to get on to get home. In late May too, so not even peak season. Looks like alot of people wont get on the last ferry either… Stunning place, but so are so many other places in Tas and around hobart…....

Nach einem Tag voller Aktivitäten auf Bruny Island gestaltete sich die Rückfahrt mit der Fähre etwas schwierig: Auf dem Rückweg mussten keine Tickets mehr vorgezeigt werden, was den Ablauf zwar vereinfacht hat. Am Abend kam es jedoch zu längeren Wartezeiten, bis die nächste Fähre eintraf. Besonders nach einem anstrengenden Tag empfanden wir das als ermüdend. Letztlich konnten wir erst die vierte Fähre nehmen, da die Kapazitäten vorher ausgelastet waren. Gerade wenn man am Ende des Tages müde ist, wäre eine bessere Taktung oder Organisation am Fähranleger wünschenswert. Ein kleiner Hinweis für alle, die ihre Rückreise in den Abendstunden planen: Mit Wartezeit sollte man rechnen und eventuell priorisiert eine frühere...
