Great place to see a wombat, particularly if you can't find one in the wild. If you're lucky, you might even see one go zoomies. If you want to see one in April around Easter, after 1500 seemed to be a good time. But there is varying reports they might be around all day. Once you get off the shuttle in the car park, take a right and you'll likely see several wombats in the first few hundred meters Just note you'll need to catch the shuttle bus to here from the visitor centre, particularly during the day or peak season

Start of the Overland Track, but it's a great walk that leads you to the Marion Lookout (via crater lakes) which I highly reccomend, or Lake Lilla track. Both options would eventually lead to Dove Lake. Will most likely see a few wombats out and about. We were lucky to see this one scratching itself on the boardwalk!

Keep your eyes peeled for wombats! We were not expecting to see them as it was warm and late afternoon but we saw a bunch of people stopped and gathering so we join them! What luck!!! There are quite far off so bring your binoculars or a really really good camera. Happily tick this one off my list!!

It is not so much seeing the creek. If you keep walking along the Ronny Creek track, you will see many big, fat wombats see my photos). They are not shy of coming out to see humans and have their photos taken. Those wild wombats spend all day eating. They are so cute and adorable. Haha we wish we can cuddle one and take one...
