A great walk from roadside park/rest area. not suitable for wheel chairs = style to get into paddocks and steep dirt path in parts. Take water. About 2.5 km walk each way - lovely scenery along the way, have seen wallabies and kangaroos, various parrots and birds of prey. Info boards good but some need replacing. Beautiful bushwalk. About 30-45mins each way. Track is steep some parts but nothing too difficult. Benches and easy steps provided. Lots of birds and wildlife along the way. You can see the heat rising from the ‘burning mountain’ and smell the sulphur at the top of the wall. Very fascinating place. (It’s not a volcano so don’t expect that). Loved...

A great place to visit. Car park jjust off main road. It is a fair walk to the smoking mountain but well worth the effort, lots of nice bush and information boards. Have always remembered the Smoking Muntain from 4th class in the 1950s at Abermain. Glad I made the effort after all...
