UPDATE REVIEW 17/7/25 We are in the middle of winter. The course is very well drained and was in excellent condition. It is always a pleasure to play at New Terry. Fairways, greens and bunkers are always well maintained. Please read my previous reviews. UPDATE REVIEW 8/11/24 3 Day golfing trip beginning day one at Wirrina GC and Links Lady Bay. Staying overnight at Grosvenor Hotel in Victor. Day 2 playing McCracken GC and Lake Albert GC. Staying overnight at Wellington Hotel. Day 3 playing Tailem Bend GC and lastly Murray Bridge GC. As per my previous review of Wirrina GC - Nothing has changed - excellent condition. Please read my previous review. UPDATE REVIEW 23/8/24 As per my previous review, all Fairways, bunkers and in particular the greens were in excellent condition - We had a great day out. Be sure to add New Terry to your bucket list of golf courses to play in country SA...... an easy 60min drive from Adelaide. Please read my previous reviews. UPDATE REVIEW 6/4/24 3 Day golfing trip beginning day one at Wirrina GC and Links Lady Bay. Staying overnight at Wellington Hotel. Day 2 playing Lake Albert GC and Robe GC. Staying overnight at Crown Hotel Kingston. Day 3 playing Kingston GC and lastly Keith GC. We were reminded of the beautiful, peaceful and undulating layout of the course with an abundance of wildlife including kangaroos. It was immediately obvious that more time and money has gone into the golf course. There was an excellent coverage of couch grass on the fairways enabling the ball to sit up beautifully and the bunkers were well maintained. The rough was also mown. The Greens were in excellent condition. We reckon they are the best they have ever been. Well done to everyone on the significant improvements. Drummond Card - 2for1….. great value. We highly recommend a round of golf there. We had a great day out and very much look forward to visiting again in the very near future. UPDATE REVIEW 5/1/24 As per my previous review, the course was in excellent condition - all Fairways, bunkers and greens. Fairways in particular had excellent roll!!! We were reminded of the peacefulness, beautiful views of the surrounding hills and the abundance of wildlife including kangaroos. Well worth the drive. Two for one with Drummond card. Please read my previous review. UPDATE REVIEW 11/6/22 We’ve had over 100ml of rain in the last week. The course was looking great. Fairways had an excellent coverage of grass. The greens were particularly good with the ball rolling beautifully. All the bunkers were raked and in excellent condition. We were reminded of just how beautiful a setting the golf course is in with undulating hills and an abundance of flora and fauna. We chatted with Sean the groundsman and complimented him on the condition of the course. They have just opened up a practice putting green……… It has got to be the largest one I’ve ever seen. We had a long chat with Les one of the members. He made mention that the current owners have invested significantly into the golf course and that was obvious to us as well. He is or has been a member at a number of other golf courses. Wirrina is his favourite. I can understand why.……… Such a quiet and peaceful setting. Well worth the 60 minute drive from Adelaide and great value for money. Two for one with your Drummond card. As usual, Alice was very welcoming in the pro shop. UPDATE REVIEW 22/10/21 Course was in excellent condition. Alice was very welcoming. Great value- 2 for 1 with Drummond Card. Well worth the 60 min drive from Adelaide. Please read my previous reviews.

An enjoyable 18 hole course. The wind coming off the ocean can make things a bit tricky sometimes which is good and the greens can be a bit fast if you're not careful. I noticed quite a few unrepaired pitch marks on some so players, please check and repair any you make instead of just leaving them for someone else to deal with. Part of golf for me is the walk but this time I developed a problem in my left knee whilst on the back nine and was unable to finish my round. The staff were great and came out in a buggy to rescue me and I'd rate them 10/10 for service and helpfulness. Will definitely go back but maybe I'll book a buggy next time instead of walking it. Warning - watch out for snakes. Had a close encounter with a large Brown that was getting on for a metre in length in the rough to the left of the 5th fairway. If you put a ball in there just forget about it.

Wirrina Cove Golf Course is back to it's best. There's been gradual improvements over the last 5 years. The new owners are spending money on the course, and the greens staff should feel proud at how their hard work is paying off. Green fees mid-week is $45 - I'd argue Wirrina is probably the best value golf in SA. Yes, the resort is tired & a ghost town, and yes the course does get dry off the fairways in summer - but the actual playing surfaces are first class & the course layout has always been excellent. If you haven't played Wirrina for years, do yourself a favor & get down there.

Good little course. Hadn’t played here in a while. It no longer has a dedicated pro shop so directions to pay and find the first tee are confusing. The resort itself feels like a ghost town now, but the course is in good condition. It’s a hilly up and down with some walking between holes. Some hole directions could be better for walkers. Plays a part 70, with some challenging par 4’s and blind tee shots. Shot a 91 despite it being a warm day. Would probably get a cart and play on a cooler day. Beware, greens quicken up during the day! Also seems to be visited by people who are tourists first/golfer second. Hit a middle fairway drive, and while walking towards it and the group ahead were wondering about and...
