Delhaize Kessel-Lo — Local services in Leuven

I will not shop from this Delhaize anymore. They are FRAUD. Their advertised labels in the shelves do not match with the checkout. Then, you ask politely to fix the problem. The cashier tells do not worry pay for it and go pick your refund from the service desk. Then, service desk do all the tricks and bring more staff and argue with you that you are actually wrong and no refund. When I say that the price/promotion shown in label is my legal right, they treat me as a fraud man. Small part of the talk;

The promotion mismatch with the promotion labelled in the reyon. It says 1+1, but I get only second -50%. (We are in the reyon, I show the label) Yes it is in the promotion place of 1+1, but it is meant for tomorrow, not today. Very well, then show me where does it say this product is second half off. It is shown in the checkout bill, you get that discount, be happy. Yes, but the promotion is clear 1+1 and nowhere else says otherwise, you cannot even show me a label with start date. We don't label all. It is not right you ask the discount.

This is a clear fraudulent behavior, you clearly label a promotion and do not honor it and on the top of that you accuse people of being a cheat with nonsense arguments. This happens all the time in this location, as well as empty stocks of promoted goods. This store needs inspection and better staff who is aware of...

So far was OK-ish store with selection of Italian and mediterranean products. The main reason I was going there was that I aim to reduce my use of packaged products. They are the only ones selling milk in reusable glass bottles (Inza), and they had a Ecover machine to refill and re-use the same packaging. The machine is no longer there and the milk I especially go there for was out of stock. Also other products like yogurt, were out of stock. Very annoying. Also rather expensive compared to Colruyt for example. Probably not going back...

The Delhaize store has a very nice mix of products available, as usual, however the place looks a bit unkempt & dark. The fruits today had fruitflies hovering around them, it seemed to be so for at least a while (no one seemed to care) & this really tarnishes the name of the supermarket. Apart from this negative, there's always the positive of having several vegan options & a wide variety...
