Got to know this store with their big foodtruck at the weekly Deinze market. They have a very good kitchen and understand they prepare everyting themselves. During our short stay in Belgium, we tried: BBQ porkribs: they are really very very good and we went back for a second buy. At the rented loft with some green salad and belgian fries and we got ourselves a feast (with Hoegaarden rose)! oxtongue in madeira sauce: a dish hard to find in restaurants - their preparation was wonderful. Tender oxmeat and a real madeira sauce with some mushrooms. Enjoyed the dish very very much, was old-time memories come back. Used to be a traditional on feast menus (in the mid 1900's...). Chicory in ham with cheese sauce: an oven dish easily made at home, but when you are not 'at home' then their version was again mighty good. Chicory had a good consistency, not too bitter and the cheese sauce was thick and creamy. The staff at the market is very kind and helpful. I would frequent that stall every week if I was living in Belgium/Deinze. Living in Asia, and missing some of the usual belgian food stock, it was a pleasure finding this good kitchen and get some for me 'rarely' to eat...
