Unprofessional and Unacceptable Experience – Left Stranded in Hamilton
We were a group of 9 people, including two elderly travelers (over 85 years old), on the Bermuda Crystal Caves, Hamilton Shopping and Beach Tour on August 13, 2025. While the caves themselves were beautiful, the rest of the experience was extremely disappointing and poorly managed.
After visiting the Crystal Caves, our tour guide Andre recommended a restaurant in Hamilton for lunch. Unfortunately, the service there was very slow, which caused us to be 13 minutes late returning to the meeting point. By the time we arrived, the bus had already left — without any attempt to contact us, even though the guide knew exactly where we had gone and had my phone number on file.
We immediately called the tour company, but no one answered. We left a voicemail, but received no call back. Despite being the only large group on the tour, with elderly participants, we were completely ignored and left stranded in the middle of Hamilton. We waited for over an hour in the hot and humid sun, but the bus never came back and no one ever reached out to us. Ultimately, we had to arrange our own transportation back to the cruise ship.
Yes, we were late by 13 minutes, but abandoning a large group of paying customers — especially those with elderly travelers — without any communication or support is utterly unprofessional, irresponsible, and unacceptable. A competent and caring tour operator should at minimum have called, checked on us, or made reasonable efforts to help.
I cannot recommend this tour or company. The lack of basic customer service, duty of care, and professionalism ruined what should have been a wonderful...
Read moreMill's Tour - A DO NOT MISS!!! Review of: Island Wrap Around Tour of Bermuda My wife and the family went on a cruise to Bermuda this last weekend of Memorial Day 2018. She emailed Mills about pickup at the Cruise terminal for a Island tour.or maybe something else, she was undecided and she received an email back giving her a price break down of the different tours that they could have arranged. It was a group of six so perfect fit for his vehicle. My wife and family had a fantastic time. She could not stop about how professional, polite, kind and considerate a man he is. He treated her mom so well and took care to make sure she was comfortable the entire time on the tour. She is 88 and is not able to walk too much or far now. I can honestly say from hearing about this gentleman from my wife, daughter and Mother, we will book him to pick up us up from the Airport or Cruise Terminal to take us around the island or other tours he has lined up. You can not go wrong with a real professional. I can only say you would be doing yourself a dis-justice if you go to Bermuda and do not take advantage of his service. I can and do highly recommend him!. Please do book far in advanced when you know you will be there. He is very popular...
Read moreWe engaged the services of Mills Tours for the day. He met us as the dock with a sign and brought the car to us. Our guide MIllard, is a many-generation Bermudian with vast knowledge of his beloved island. Everything from horticulture to history, he was able to provide us with a pretty complete picture of the island. He drove us through the entire island with as many stops for photo ops or rest stops as needed. We saw Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, forts, the botanical gardens, the glass beach and so much more that we would never have seen on an organized tour. One of us climbed the 187 steps to the top of the lighthouse and walked the pink sand beach.Mills told us an interesting story about a visitor and the sea glass beach. We saw a very large banyan tree that is 270 years old and rivals the one we've seen in Maui.We took a short walk into the tree area. We stopped for a quick snack and drinks with our guide as our guest. We saw the smallest draw bridge and fed the ducks. We encountered a bit of rain but it lasted just a few minutes before the sun came back out again. Temperatures were comfy and warm. I think Millard is a treasure and certainly the unofficial mayor and...
