Haven't entered a Casino since the Pandemic 2020... Big Changes here at Ajax Downs...very disappointed!!!! Parking lot was empty, should have been the first clue... inside is very gloomy, lifeless decor and obviously empty of gamblers.. No self serve refreshments. Machines don't payout much... Usually buy lotto ticket on the way out...store has disappeared!!!! I know it's a business, but based on what I've seen today I would say Ajax Down is the place that Dollarama would design and build... cut rate, down and dirty, no glam no glitz... Maybe they have live bands like they use to ?.... no their gone too...but they still have horse racing...right???? Yes they do.... Overall I am very disappointed...too bad the owners are just interested in cleaning their patrons of their money...and they do that very well. (10 out of 10) Final analysis....THIS place is not worth the Drive....you're better off throwing your money out the window onto the 401...just as much fun..... Friendly staff with Excellent customer service! I was here for my first time, for a first time OLG payout. Not knowing a thing, they took the time to step me through the process, even letting me cut the very busy line, TWICE, to ask for guidance! Then, the coup-de-gras, after handing everything in, I was quoted a nearly 4hr turn over time, I say down to their attached resto(I do recommend their cod and chips!), My food hand JUST been delivered, and I got "The Call"... To go to winner's circle and pick it up! Less than a hour! This place is a little rural gem, that untill 6hrs before writing this review, I had no idea existed! Recommend, but FYI to the gamblers, this place is only electronic. No cards. No tables Just one...

It was lovely to go there after a long long time and I gave my petition to keep Ajax downs slots to be kept in Ajax and hope it doesn't move to Pickering Ontario. had mu sister's birthday celebration there and it was her first time going and I felt like a pre Vegas girl that knows a bit about the casinos lol ...it WAS REALLY a fun experience and for my dad who never been to Ajax DwomDowns casino?
