Bois Blanc Island — Local services in Amherstburg

The island is nice, and I visit family that live on the island all the time. There is one bald gentleman that is occasionally at the ferry, and there is ALWAYS an issue with him. Was very rude, and would get into some sort of argument over literally nothing. I have seen him have verbal altercations with other cars as well. His name is Pete, and I was advised to "just ignore and avoid him" because apparently issues are common with him. I don't know if he owns the island or the ferry, but what an absolute terrible way to treat guests. He will get close and intimidate you, and stare at you. I grew up in the 70s and I have so many memories of going to Boblo Island, School field trips family outings just absolute fun the last time I was there was probably 1986 1987 it was such a wonderful time so sad that this place is not been utilized anymore other than becoming another overpriced residential area this was one of the coolest places for kids to go especially if your parents didn't want to go to cedar point.
