Stillhead Distillery — Local services in Area D (Cowichan Bay)

Had the pleasure of chatting with Brennan for a bit in March at the farmers' market in Duncan and sampled some of his wares. It was evident, from his genuine enthusiasm and knowledge, that he took great pride and care in producing quality products. For me, the barrel aged gin was a standout. And while I could see why the blackberry gin is their best seller, it wasn't for me, though I picked up a bottle for my wife. Unluckily, his 100% rye whisky, Rye-Tila the Hun, wasn't quite ready for bottling yet, though he was able to give me a sample. Wow. Smooth, great mouth feel, caramel and spice, with a touch of sweetness. Fast forward a month or so, and I was happy to see them at BC Distilled, where I picked up a bottle! So happy. I have friends who are also into rye whiskies, and I can't wait to introduce them. Looking forward to more rye...

One of the best distillery tasting experiences I've ever had. A huge part of our experience was the amazing service we received from Sabrina. She was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. The rest of the staff was also wonderful and welcoming. The selection of gin, vodka, rye and whiskey was perfect! I loved the double oak rum cask rye whiskey and the whiskey cream the best. I was shocked at how much I loved the pink peppercorn gin, so delicious! The cocktail menu has great choices and if you don't feel up to the whiskey flight you could try a cocktail flight. There was a burger food truck just outside which just made our visit even better! From start to finish we had a fun, friendly, and delicious visit. I will absolutely be back for...

My fiancé at the time had previously tasted one of the whiskey’s that they make, and had been trying to find a bottle in Northern BC, with no such luck. As a wedding gift for our upcoming wedding, I wanted to get him a bottle, so I called Stillhead directly, and Brennan answered my call. I explained my predicament, and He went above and beyond to locate a bottle for me and got it sent out, so that I would have it to give my husband as our wedding gift. The service was incredible! I so appreciated the effort, and therefore have made a loyal customer out of us…as long as they continue to make whiskey, we will continue to buy it, cause it is amazing and the service can’t be beat!
