Hello owners of The Organic House, The fact that my order was missing the one award winning bar- the one bar that was the whole reason I placed the order to begin with- seems to be lost on you! I am very disappointed in not receiving -the banana foster bar. If it had not been for the one bar- the entire order would not have been placed. I adore banana foster and was very excited to try it. That one bar was the draw for me- and to get all the other items but no bananas foster-and just an automated response policy thrown at me- no I donât understand. This was my first experience ordering from your company and it will likely be my last. I order chocolates from all over the world. I have never encountered such poor quality of service. Your chocolate is good but not THAT good. Your attitude of service leaves a lot to be desired. A refund is too easy to just âforgetâ. The fact that you are a small company makes you able to be more careful. Obviously I wanted that chocolate bar or I would not be taking the time to respond to your non-heartfelt excuses.
So no, I do not understand. I was a first time customer and placed an order for $100 worth of chocolate- which is easy given your prices. We are not always in hot weather year round. And Iâm certainly not going to place another order with your company policy for forgetting things being at such a high percentile for one bar and pay more -as an individual -for your mistake. What I would like is to receive a banana foster chocolate bar that won bronze and try this bar. I will even pay- again-for it. But I will not pay shipping - this was your mistake. However, I can wait until a colder month when itâs more economical for you. That would be a reasonable solution.
Specialty small batch chocolate is a joy and an experience. A refund is a disappointment.

Read moreI recently received my first order of products from The Organic House, and from beginning to delicious end, everything about the experience has been top-notch. I had several email interactions with the owner and was blown away at the speed with which she replied to my inquiries. When the owner is corresponding with you at 9pm on a Friday night, you know for certain that this business is a labour of love. Customer service was absolutely 5-star and the owner could not have been lovelier. I came for the vegan, organic, non-gmo, ethically sourced, Canadian, woman-owned aspects of this business and stayed for the amazing chocolate! This chocolate lives up to the hype. As someone who did not love dark chocolate because of the bitterness, I can truthfully say that TOH chocolate is far superior to anything Iâve tasted before. No bitterness and richly satisfying, a few squares as a dessert is a decadent treat and deserves to be enjoyed slowly with no distractions. This is real food, not junk chocolate. And the flavours (I went for the lavender maple and movie night) are surprising and super smooth and delicious. I purchased a couple of the white chocolate bars as a novelty for their intriguing flavours and they are outstanding! The Corn on the Cob BBQ is totally addictive (sounds like a weird combo but trustâŠso good) and the Mango Chili Lime Sea Salt gave heat and sweet and salt in a delicious, creamy bite. Savour all the products slowly and mindfully if you can and really appreciate the process it takes to go from cocoa bean to delectable chocolate and the care that went into it....
