A&W Canada — Restaurant in Burlington

I normally visit this location late at night when the location close to my house is closed. After reading all the negative reviews I have a hard time believing we are talking about the same location. To date everything I have ordered was hot, fresh and tastes the way it should. As for the A&W brand it's been part of my life since the early 1960's. Sitting in the car with the tray hanging on the window and no cup holders in the car. Sometimes using the glovebox door as a tray. I used to like the Taco's and Whistle dogs.

I don't like some of the changes in their product portions and packaging. Give me a bag that can hold my burger with the bag closed. The foil bags were great but why did they make the paper bags so small that they leave your burger exposed to everything else in the bag. They get cold and dried out. As for fries, this has to be a real money maker. I think we could improve the portion size. Sweat potato fries are a luxury for the cost vs portion size. SOMETHING has changed with the onion rings. They used to be handmade in the restaurant daily, but now they taste like frozen rings. Another premium priced item that is no longer anything special, just average. If this location is actually serving poor quality food or service, then politely say something at the time of purchase. Talk with the owner or manager. If they don't make things right then and there DON'T go back....

WARNING!!!!! DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! HEALTH INSPECTOR PLEASE VISIT THIS LOCATION!!! THEIR CHICKEN GAVE ME FOOD POISONING!!! I went to this location yesterday on my way home. I ordered three chicken strips. When I got to the window the employee was asking the kitchen guys where the chicken strips were. They pointed to a spot on the counter on the other side of the window. The employee gave them a look and handed me the bag. I drove away... the first chicken strip was really hot, right out of the deep fryer. To my surprise when I went to grab the second on it was cold. Now that I have had to stay home and hug the toilet for the last 12 hours. I know the chicken had been left out for sure and they put a hot one on top so I'd get far enough away and not come back and ask why two out of the three chicken strips where old and room temp. I was a fan of A&W and have been going to their locations for over 10 years. I will now never eat their again. The staff clearly knew they were serving me old food and didn't care. They actually were smart enough to put a hot one on top to hide it. I now have been barfing my brains out all day and had to take the day off work. I'm so angry that a restaurant would treat their costumers like this. What a disappointment this location is! DO NOT EAT HERE! It's not worth the pain of...

Not a very good experience! I waited over 20 minutes for everything to come out because multiple mistakes were made. I also had to ask the lady to place the food back under the heat lamp because she just had it sitting out for over 5 minutes while the rest was being made. I spent just over $37 for the meals and everything was cold. There were two works there and the one was running around doing everything and the other one with glasses was just slowly walking around and messing everything up. It was not that busy at this time either. The order was to go and the gave me everything in individual bags, I asked for all of it in just one, so they just put it on the counter and I had to bag pack up my own order. When I was doing so I noticed I had no forks , so I asked them for one which took a while also and their response was we don’t have any. I asked how I was suppose to eat my food (which was eggs and sausage, etc) and all I got was “sorry, don’t have any”. I would have to say that this is the worst A&W experience I have had. I went there on June 10th at 8:10am. It will take a while for me to go back to A&W...
