I brought my family to the store on North Fraser Way. We all ordered the Hot Lunch special. What's misleading is the menu above the order counter, it appears to us that we have a choice of hot sandwiches, well no, only what Avalon has for that day. This is fine if they had posted it clearly at the order counter. We thought there would be a hot drink to go along with the special. Well no. Fine, I will buy a jug of milk from the fridge and enjoy it with our lunch special. Well, after paying and ready to get the paper cups, I found out I have to pay 40 cents for each paper cup. No thank you. As for the the lunch special, the roast beef sandwich is adequate but uninspiring. It is bland but comes with a dish of liquid flavour. Well, the "sauce" is quite bland and fortunately there is salt available. At $13.99 per plate I don't see value. The staff is not friendly, The pay terminal demands a tip so the staff is willing to deliver the order to my table. When I'm done and the tip has been prepaid, I was expected to bring the plates to a collection point, I was also expected to separate the cutlery and tissues and the plate. Self service from that point onward, I wish I had not left any tip. From my perspective, there are too many of these business that appeal to consumers because they are local, and I have to help them to fight against the industry behemoths. Talk is nice, but what's delivered is pretty underwhelming. Suffice to say I see no point...

Rude owner! This man has been rude to my mom twice now. First time she came in to buy milk and return empty bottles (bottles of milk purchased at his store) he told her she was lying about the number of bottles she was returning, so she took him back so he can count with her and of course he realized he was wrong, but didn’t bother to apologize. Today was the second time, she went in with my 3 year old son and again he approached her very rudely telling her that this is not a bottle depot and how can she possibly be returning 10 bottles. Of course my mom feeling embarrassed told him kindly that these bottles are from his store where she purchased the milk. I decided to call him today just to check if they have a policy of how many bottles you can return at a time. I asked for the owner and once he got on the phone i kindly asked for his name and his answer was “well what is your name you called me”. After introducing myself he told me his name and I explained the situation to him and asked how many bottles we can return. i told him that he was rude to my mom and embarrassed her and instead of apologizing or explaining his reaction he asked me “well why does your mom buy so much milk?” I am in absolute shock and still can not process the rudeness. I wish people could just be kind to others especially if you’re the owner of a store and have a regular customer. Definitely not going back...

I was attracted to this factory by the chocolate milk I normally buy from the Save on Foods. Amazing flavor and I don't know a tastier chocolate milk. So then I heard about this factory, close by and has other milk products by Avalon—how could I go wrong? Well, everything outside of the milk is completely average and you could buy the same quality at any grocery store.

I bought Avalon Organic Probiotic blueberry Yogurt. The yogurt part tastes terrible and the fruit part isn't anything to brag home about either. I ate half and threw the rest out. Maybe organic stuff tastes like garbage or maybe it's the probiotic, I don't know, their selection wasn't very big to begin with.

Medium white cheddar cheese tastes exactly like anything you can get at a normal grocery store.

Chocolate Iced Cream, pretty tasty, but doesn't match up to the level of breyers or any of the other premium iced cream brands.

Overall, a disappointment. Just get the avalon glass bottle milk at your local grocery stores. Their other products aren't stocked...

Since I arrived in British Columbia, I've conducted extensive research and discovered that Avalon is by far a Canadian top-quality brand of cow's milk. I havent been able to pass by this location as I make my purchases at other grocery stores in my area but as someone who is lactose intolerant, I find that I can tolerate your milk, creams, and butter when they are heated or used in cooking. I never experience stomach aches or the urge to rush to the bathroom, so I'm grateful for the way your milk is produced. When I learned that your milk is organic, sourced from grass-fed cows, free of GMO, growth hormones, and packaged in glass bottles, I felt even more thankful. It's reassuring to know that there are farms dedicated to producing high-quality products that prioritize consumer health. Thank you so much! My favorite organic cows-milk product brand! One day I will come visit your location and hopefully I can have my first experiance to learn how to milk a cow!

I have to wonder if their cream is the percentage they say it is. After a few times trying it from both their cartons and their little plastic bottles, I feel its taste and consistency is more like having 3%milk in my coffee, than 10% cream. I’ve compared it to organic Dairyland brand’s 10 % cream and there is a difference for sure, at least to me. I do believe Avalon’s milk fat percentages are labeled incorrectly. It also made me wonder if there is a 3rd party body that governs or controls this thing so that the consumer is really getting what they are buying. I’m sorry if I’m wrong Avalon but can you explain it ?

They offers ice cream and some baked goods, but I was a bit disappointed with the ice cream selection. They only had few flavors, and the ice cream itself was way too soft, almost like it was melting. It’s definitely better to get it in a cup rather than a cone. If you're going to buy ice cream, I’d suggest getting a pint to take home instead of eating it there. As for their milk, the price is similar to what you’d find at a local supermarket. The only perk is if you buy 3 or more bottles, they knock off 30 cents per bottle, which is a nice little discount.
