What an awesome little store!! These days the internet has given us access to a world of new and exciting items. However-finding imported treats isn't always so easy. When we do find them, prices are often way over priced or - - at or near expiration date. NOT this place! They have an incredible variety of sweet and savory treats. A bunch of cool cold drinks and even a few shelves of specialty items that are sure to peak your interest.... Maybe even a few that remind you of your childhood! And the prices are fair! We walked out with a shopping bag full of goodies for $25! It is a little bit out of the way - but very much worth the extra few minutes it takes to get there. It's also pushed back from the road a bit - so depending on which way you are coming from be sure to keep your eyes peeled!! It would be awesome if this place had a strobe light or a big neon arrow to bring attention to it ( however, this could very much just be a me problem... It would be pretty wild though! I'd party and celebrate candy anytime) Oh, the owner (?) this guy is amazing. His interaction with us was so much appreciated. He explained what he had available, showed us where to find what we were looking for and apologized for his selection being so limited (Silliness, because what he had available was impressive) He has one of those personalities that makes you feel welcome. He was open to taking to suggestions. We really felt like we were welcomed in his store. Between customer service, and what seems to be an ever changing variety of inventory I am sure this will become a Durham Region Hot Spot for sure.

I’ve seen in the reviews that some people are complaining about the closing hours and opening hours. You guys have to know that others have problems too… even store owners (news flash 😒). I had a chat with the owners and she said her husband passed away in April 2023 and she recently got into a car accident as well. As sad as that was to hear she still runs the store and I understand she can’t open it as punctual as usual. Now there are new owners at the store. The other woman sold it and now it belongs to a lovely other woman! She’s incredibly sweet and the store is now filled with different sweets and treats, and now the store will be opened for more hours.

I recently visited the Tauton Variety and Party Store and felt compelled to leave a review specifically about the Crystal Clean Halloween Trick or Treat Event. It was absolutely fantastic! The event was incredibly well-organized, creating a super fun and, most importantly, safe and clean environment for the kids to enjoy trick-or-treating. It’s clear the staff put care into making it a great experience for the community. Beyond the event, the store itself is a hidden gem. They really live up to the "variety and party" promise, with a wide selection of items. The atmosphere was friendly, and the staff I interacted were a delight.
