After 30 + years of marriage, 5 different homes and 3 kids, I have purchased a great deal of furniture for my family. In the past I have shopped at Leons, The Brick, Ashley Furniture, Sears, Decorium and recently Lazy Boy but this was my very 1st experience with The Stoney Creek Furniture Company. Some of the companies I mentioned were satisfactory, only a few worth mentioning as "good". After months of waiting for the "Sectional Couch of my dreams" (because of the Covid shutdown) today I received the most beautiful sectional sofa in the world! Seriously, it brought tears to my eyes. I was so happy that I sent photos of it to my friends and family. This sofa is amazing...but not half as amazing as the staff at Stoney Creek Furniture, Woodbridge Location. Let's start with my salesperson, Giselle. I have been in sales for over 25 years and I am never impressed..lol. Giselle was professional, personal and extremely accomodating. Jolanta, the store manager was exceptional, continuosly following up with me while Stoney Creek Furniture Factory was experiencing delays during Covid. Lastly, the delivery team. They arrived on schedule and very attentive to ensuring that they carried and assembled my beautiful sectional carefully and perfectly into it's new home! They even put the felts on the bottom of the couch for me! There are not enough words to describe how impressed I am by Stoney Creek Furniture and their staff. Were the prices high? Yes, I will admit it was not inexpensive, but it was worth every penny and competitive in the furniture industry. Stoney Creek Furniture has raised the bar during a very difficult time in Canada. They could have just blamed Covid like every other company has, instead they rose above it, providing a level of professionalism that I believe no longer exists in the furniture business. The picture does not do the sectional justice...what you can't see is the workmanship which is exquisite, the comfort which is undeniable and the look, sleek and contemporary! Love it...
Read moreMy experience at Stoney Creek Furniture started off very well. I met with Catherine she was friendly, knowledgeable and was able to assist me with selecting a sofa.
Near the sale completion, I requested the opportunity to get back to her the next day or so as this was a large purchase and I was advised the same was ending and we could not wait and there was no opportunity to hold the sale even if I put a deposit on the sofa, we are now 2 months later and the sale is still on!
After purchasing the sofa, I had a couple of questions for Catherine, I called on three occasions and she was busy with other customers. I have e-mails from reception which they assured me that Catherine would call me. To date, I have not received the courtesy of a phone call back from her. Customer service should extend beyond the sale. An e-mail came from Catherine advising she would be in touch with me regarding a protection plan before the delivery - no call and now the sofa has been delivered.
My sofa was delivered on the weekend, the delivery people were courteous and respected my home. After unwrapping my brand new sofa it was noted to be discolored in a couple of areas. They agreed, attempted to clean it and left me a spot removal kit. They then advised that they would send a woman out to inspect the sofa and let me know the next steps. I have now been put in touch with Paul who advises that no one would be coming out to look at the damages and they would send a cleaning person to clean the sofa. I am not completely comfortable with this as sofa is brand new. Furthermore, Paul advises me that Stoney Creek Furniture has the right to clean or repair the sofa prior to replacement. I was not aware of this agreement at the time of sale when I asked for a signed copy of this agreement, Paul advised I bought the item online so it was not signed. This item was not bought online.
The way I see it right now, Stoney Creek Furniture has their money and I have a damaged sofa. I am hopeful someone will call me back and Stoney Creek furniture...
Read moreWe have made two major purchases from Stoney Creek Furniture in the past 6 months. They are fantastic to deal with. We live 1 1/2 hours away and they provided the added benefit of sometimes communicating via phone or email as we worked though choosing the ideal pieces of furniture we were looking for. We had the good fortune of dealing with Daxa who knew every detail of the pieces we were looking for. She is very professional and has the quiet confidence to give you input on styles, colour trends and options yet at no time did she push her opinions. Once we took delivery and the piece was in place we realized we had made a mistake on colour. Through a lot of work on Daxa’s part she was able to make an exchange for us that was within their store policies yet was very acceptable to us. We were very delighted to have a resolution to our mistake. When we went to their warehouse we again were delighted by the service. The manager was very attentive making sure we were satisfied with the product, that it was wrapped properly and loaded secure in my vehicle to avoid rubbing damage. He had two young associates helping him who were also very caring and attentive to our needs. I am very sorry as to not have asked for their names because they too are very deserving of a “shout out”. So often the team in the warehouse can be forgotten and less than helpful but this is not the case with these three gentleman. They truly care. We are totally delighted with Stoney Creek Furniture and looking forward...
