Riddled with quality and logistical issues!
I brought my wedding band in right before Christmas to get it resized. They ensured me it would be ready before the holidays which was great. Its worth noting that my ring is a gun metal color so they had to also ensure the final product was the same color before returning to me, which they did confirm. I went to go pick it up days before the holidays and my ring looked terrible! The gun metal color to restore it to what they confirmed it would look like, looked incredibly amateur like it was quickly done. It resembled how a tie-dye shirt looks, not a smooth coating at all. They knowingly gave it back to me and said 'we understand its not to your quality, so bring it back in the new year'. So they purposely gave me a poor quality product vs doing it correctly? This was the 1st issue. I brought it back in the new year to get it done right this time. When I went to pick it up, there were still really bad blotchy patches on it, which they missed. This was the 2nd issues. They apologized profusely as it should have been caught in the first place vs calling me to pick up an unfinished product. Upon apologizing, I was told, I'd get a call in 2 days from the owner to sort it out. Five days go by and no one calls. I finally call and the owner tells me returning my call just slipped her mind...very professional! This was the 3rd issues. She tells me that they can't fix the blotchy work and that my options are leave it as is or remove it and refund me. I'm obviously frustrated at this point and the owner knew this. I dont really have any options so I told her I'd get back to her. The very next day, I went in to look at it to make a decision. The owner comes out apologizing saying she forgot my ring at the jeweler. This was the 4th issue. End of the day, this owner showed me no respect for my time, for the poor quality they showed me, no remorse for all the back and forth, etc. All and all, this entire process took 1.5 months from start to finish, I received poor customer service (no returned phone calls), poor quality craftmenship (blotchy finish on my ring) and she offered me nothing to compensate me for their poor service. Do yourself a favor and go to a more reputable...
Read moreIn response to owners statement:. I agree this is a busy time of year but I was there on a Monday at 1:00 pm - not a busy time. There were only 2 customers in the store when I walked in and you had 4 salespersons on the floor Granted 1 of the salespersons may have been attending to a phone call while the other 2 were working with customers but the young saleswoman in the long vest was not with any clients at all. As as matter of fact she walked right in front of me, and did not even look at me, welcome me to the store, or ask me if I needed assistance. She proceeded to walk past me again and then when a new customer came in to the store assisted them instead. I have owned a number of businesses and a key to success is to make your customers feel they are welcomed and important. I would recommend some training and that you stress that all your customers are equally valuable and important. Loss is customers/revenue can occur very quickly especially in this age of online business. You need to make your customers WANT to come to your store. _------------------------------------- So disappointment with the service. I stood waiting to be served while 2 of sales persons (who were not serving customers) just walked by me without even acknowledging me. Then when another customer walked into the store they served them directly. This brick and mortar store needs to be very sensitive to its in-store customers - specifically now in the online shopping era. I came to this store having recently moved to Milton to support the local businesses. Let me tell you I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS EVER AGAIN. I will be going to either the Burlington or Oakville stores from now on. NOT...
Read moreI really wish my experience was like some of the other good ones here, but unfortunately it was sub par. After finding this shop near us and being excited to be able to support a local, family-owned store, my partner had a beautiful custom engagement ring made (which I should add he spent a lot of money on). But the post-purchase service was honestly a seemingly never-ending nightmare for us. For what claims to be such a high calibre jewellery store, I expected a lot more professionalism - but was instead met with a feeling of obvious annoyance and dismissiveness that my ring was still not fitting me correctly after each size down, along with a shocking comment from the owner about being charged a fee “the next time” (said clearly with an attitude - as if I really had nothing better to do with my time than consistently keep having to leave my work early to make it before their shop closed each time for a pick up/drop off?). Looking back on it, there was absolutely no apology from their end (which I honestly didn’t even expect at the time) for wasting my time, even though I felt horrible for having to come back multiple times - instead, I was made to feel as if it was my fault. It completely ruined our post-engagement excitement that my ring had to keep being sent back for multiple adjustments because the proper measurements and tools in the shop weren’t available or used properly the first time around to ensure my fit was correct. It felt like a guessing game every time I came back. Being a naturally sentimental person, I was really hoping to have our wedding bands created at the same store as our engagement ring, but after our experience, I would rather go literally anywhere else but...
