I understand this is a Subway location we are talking about and not 5 star dining but there should be some standard of quality.
I had my latest subpar experience at this location today. I stop here from time to time because it is only a 5 minute walk from my house. However quality concerns are far out weighing the convenience factor at this point.
I walked in for lunch at around 11:45am. As we got to the topping station I noticed some really wilted lettuce caked onto the side of the topping container. As the woman behind the counter was reaching into that bin I said, "I'm not sure if you noticed but the lettuce stuck to the side of that container doesn't look to good, would you mind using the lettuce in this bin?" There was another container full of fresh lettuce. She complied with my request and drew my topping from the perceived fresher container.
Next was tomatoes. The lady picked one out of the bin. There were only around four other slices of tomatoes in the bin. They all looked old so I asked if they had any fresh ones. The lady began insisting they were okay while another employee took the old tomatoes away and replenished with a new bin. I said to the lady, "Not for nothing, but why would you argue with me about the tomatoes when you had new ones and could have fulfilled my request?" I didn't get a reply.
I asked for salt and pepper next. She did 5 turns on the peppermill for a 6 inch sandwich! I told her it was too much pepper. She told me I didn't ask for light pepper, I told her I didn't ask for heavy either...... I always ask for salt and pepper on this same order at different locations. I've never had to specify "light" salt and pepper. The "sandwich artist" has never went to town on the mill like that either though.....
It's important to note this sandwich was not for me and I wasn't going to hand over a bad item they had asked me for.
When it became obvious there was only going to be arguing and no chance at finding a resolution I advised the woman behind the counter that there were lots of Subways and I could go to a different location, it was no trouble for me. I bid her a good day, left the counter...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTerrible service, i was here this past Saturday night at 9pm - noone behind the counter and one gentleman was just standing there waiting to get his reciept. The staff member was in the back on a tablet writing down an Ubereats order. I was told to wait while she prepared this order...15 minutes later and several phone calls on her phone/double checking the tablet etc. Meanwhile i'm here in front of her waiting for a sandwich.
I asked her if anyone else could help me to which she said no. I shouldn't have to wait with noone else in the store while an uber eats order is being prepared. The ubereats order was 1 sandwich and a bag of chips!! After waiting for over 15-20 minutes she finally made my sandwich and I didn't get an apology or any sort of acknowledgement. Toppings looked wilted and flies everywhere This is unacceptable service and i will be escalating this issue with head office. Do not go here, there are many more locations in Milton.
Also Plot twist- by the time i left, UberEats had not even come to the store yet. Customer service...

It was REALLY busy at this time. About 7 to 9 high school students were dining inside, with 4 people ahead of me and 1 worker at the counter. The worker was a Punjabi man, probably working alone. No one was there to help him. Four high school students were in a single washroom and this worker had to juggle everything that was going on.
The worker was fast, efficient, and friendly, considering that he was alone and so busy. I did my mobile order and had to wait because it was busy. But this worker handled all of the chaos well. He should be recognized for his service. And if it's usually busy at this time on Saturdays, maybe put two workers working that day. It's not worth minimum wage to deal with all the chaos.
I will be coming back here to buy again and...
