BE VERY CAUTIOUS - HEALTH HAZARD Our family couldn’t wait for the reopening. What a disappointment. Our little 1.5 year old daughter loves strawberries, raspberries etc… Let’s forget about the ridiculous prices of an average of 5$-6$ for a small packet (even on special), not once, not twice but exactly 6 times we had rotten fruits in it, and if we didn’t find the any rotten fruit the same day, it would rot the NEXT day. You should not have to open and manually check if what you are buying is rotten. What a disgrace. I even told the clerk. He gave me a shrug and told me he would notify his manager. Look, I understand it could happen one or even twice. But come on… 6? If you have small kids and are looking to feed them healthy and fresh fruits, please avoid this place. Since the change in ownership, this IGA has gone downhill. It used to be my only go-to-grocer, since it is 2 blocks from my place, but the constant lack of stock (I do not include the COVID pandemic in this review although, compared to other stores, I am lucky to get half of what is on my grocery list) has made this a useless trip for weekly groceries. The lightning in this store is also AWFUL. It used to be 1 flickering bulb but now there are several. The owner doesn't seem to care to change these bulbs hence giving me the impression he wants his clients to leave quickly. I can only conclude that the lack of service is because staff must have a massive headache due to these flickering lights. This grocer...

Shopping at this IGA is both a pleasure and an absolute pain. While the staff are friendly and the store clean, for anything beyond the basics it is necessary to visit the larger IGA 1.5 km away. However, while it is reasonably understandable the store's selection is limited due to its size, what is irredeemable is that items on special 1.5 km away will be marked full price at this location. For this reason, during the warmer months, I prefer to take a long walk to IGA Marché Barcelo.
