Battlefield Course — Local services in Niagara Falls

I've been golfing here for 20+ years whether it be battle field usshers or whirlpool. All of them are great courses and well maintained, and never had an issue. That is until this Thanksgiving Monday! It had rained the night before so understandably 90° rule was in place, it wasn't crazy wet but wet enough to have the rule in place but I'd say border line. I'm sure we've all done this there was a few fimes where me and my partners ball were like 20 or 30 yards from each other so we drove straight up to it instead driving all the wasyback to the cart and driving the 20 yards and then back in we really didn't think anything of it as those spots in the fairway were quite dry well on hol 12 or 13 the Marshall roles up on us as we just finished the hole and says very angry and rude "you guys know it's 90° today ! I say yes we do he then decides to get out of his cart and get in our faces about it being 90 degrees etc etc . I own a few restaurants and being a paying customer at the course that day and being spoken to like I'm a 10 ueat old child is just absolutely ridiculous we are customers and he is an employee of the course he could have nicely reminded us that it was 90° today or sometime to that extent of this was an employee of mine and I heard this story of my employee yelling and getting into a customers fave I would fire him on the spot ! For the past three years, we have played Battlefield and Usshers Creek within the Legends on the Niagara courses. The courses are well maintained and enjoyable. However, we experienced a customer service issue that makes it impossible for us to ever visit again. Back in December, 2022, we reserved the courses for our annual 3-day golf trip. It took place on August 16 to 18. We had a total of 24 players. A couple of weeks prior to the trip , one person cancelled due to a work scheduling issue. Legends was informed. A few days prior to our start on August 16th, another player was found. Legends was informed by phone immediately. A Manager advised that a local player was placed in our group for the final day, August 18th. They would not reschedule his tee time to allow our final player to join us. We were informed that it is club policy to fill any openings. Our final player had to leave that day without golfing. I find it extremely disappointing that Legends did not attempt to rectify the matter. They would not contact the local player to inform him of the situation and see if he would change his tee time. It's also odd that they would add someone to our group of players (6 reserved tee times), knowing full well that that we were a group on...

It’s tough to write this review because the course is absolutely beautiful and the staff we dealt with were very pleasant. That said, we completed a round of golf a just over six hours and we were on the heals of the group in front of us the entire round. Walking this course should not be allowed. The distance between holes is significant. They also need to marshal the course and push groups to keep pace. We didn’t see a marshal the entire round and as we approached 18 with solid shots off the tee, we waited for 14 minutes while a group of young kids lined up every putt, spotted every ball and then they seem to have a conversation on the green. No regard for the three groups that had now backed up on the tee and fairway. If you have the time and or patience to spend six hours on a golf course while waiting on every tee and every hole then this is a good choice. Too bad. This has the potential of being a...
