Well, we went country shopping. We had asked Johnson Farms how much a bushel of Spy's were and they said $80. We called DeVries Fruit Farm and they wanted $50 for a bushel, so as Margaret was going in to see her dad, we stopped by, her in her car and me in mine. I also noticed that they had some HUGE butternut squash two for five dollars. We went in to the store and talked with a young lady and she said the price for the bushel was for "firsts". I asked how much the "seconds" were and she said $30. So we picked up a bushel of spy's and 10 enormous butternuts and paid $50. WOW, what a haul. EVERYONE!!! DeVries Fruit Farm, is a Family Run Market. The temperature controlled Market Barn is beautiful and welcoming and there's an array of fresh locally sourced produce, delicious baked goods and frozen meats.
With seasonal "pick your own fruit" and a bountiful garden center, this popular centrally located spot in the Niagara Region is a great place to visit and grab your favourite treats.

Wanted to try them after reading all of the glowing reviews.
It smelled so good when we walked in, like fresh baked goods!
We were impressed with the variety of items for sale, including frozen meat, frozen meals, noodles and pasta, canned fruit, pies and loaves and cookies and cinnamon and panini buns, an abundance of bakery items really!
We stopped in specifically for their fruits and vegetables. They were fresh and blemish free.
There are also premade salads. Their bacon ranch salad made a quick and easy lunch, and their potato and egg salad was delicious too.
We liked that we were buying from a local "farmer".
