THE WORST BREAKFAST JOINT IN THE WORLD. We arrive when there were about 50 customers (which should be a breeze for experienced servers) and there were 3 servers. We waited to be seated and given menus. We waived down the server so we could order - 1 big breakfast and 1 eggs Benedict. We waited 30 mins for my Benedict to arrive and then waited for another 10 mins for the big breakfast, however, we noticed that the sausages and pancakes were missing. It took us another 8 mins to get the server’s attention. We mentioned to him we order the big breakfast and he took a quick glance at the plate and said it is the big breakfast and walked away so quickly we didn’t even get a chance to respond - literally! 10 mins later he appears with pancake and sausages. Needlessly to say we were just going to eat the remaining food although it is now an hour later - I noticed the pancakes were lightly browned on the outside which made me curious to see if it was undercooked inside.- one bite into the RAW pancakes and you can taste the actual batter. Needless to say, we discarded the pancakes and just put the bill. On the way out the door, we walked by the server less than 2 feet away and he didn’t even acknowledge we were leaving. Terrible service! Aside from all this, it is the most unhygienic restaurant - nobody ever washes theirs hands!! I watched waiting for over an hour. Absolutely the worst experience on every level! PS for all those who would rate a 5 star - y’all must eat terrible food on a daily basis - trying raising your food...

I have been coming here for a while now and one time I came in and had a blt the bread was soggy and the sandwich was cold. One time I got an omelette and it was not cooked all the way though. 3 times now that I have gotten French toast only to cut into it and the bread will still be white and not cooked though. The daughter that works here is not friendly at all. One time we came in and the table was not cleared off because they were busy only for the daughter who seen us sitting there waiting and she cleaned off the table next to us and left us with a dirty table. We were not happy at all. The food is not bad in price but when you get food and can’t eat it because of the reasons above it makes it a little mad that you have to pay for it. The daughter I have noticed is all about how much money the place can get and not about the customers. I will say this the waitresses are great so friendly and kind. The response was written by the daughter but tried to make it out that the owner did it. To respond to the other very big lies she made about the other staff member. Yes I do not like her but I have never been abusive or said that she should be fired at anytime. I have never been abusive to any staff member for that matter. I will have to deal with this further as she is not the owner and the lies she is saying in her response. Sorry Grill on Canboro but although we have visited your establishment for years and loved it we have finally felt the need to provide a bad review. A couple of weeks ago we ordered a Greek salad and it was awful. It was not fresh and although the menu said there was romaine lettuce, it came out with soggy wet standard lettuce. It had no flavour whatsoever and the presentation was really bad, it was just dumped on the plate. We thought maybe it was just a bad day so we came back today and ordered breakfast. We ordered a Monte Cristo sandwich and I can't begin to explain how bad it was but I'll try. The sandwich was two pieces of white Wonder bread French toast and in between was one tiny pathetic and thin slice of what looked like processed ham. The worst was the cheese. I think it was that cheese whiz stuff that is poured from a jar. Just a reminder this was a $15 sandwich. A proper Monte Cristo has slices of ham, turkey, and swiss cheese. If you can't afford to make a proper Monte Cristo take it off the menu, or make a better product and charge more. That is my suggestion. We're really sad to post this because as I said before we have frequented this restaurant many times over the years. A year ago we would never have seen such bad food, so we're not sure what...
