Reaching the summit is absolutely worth it—the panoramic views of Victoria, the ocean, and surrounding islands are stunning! If you visit during sunrise or sunset, the experience becomes even more magical. The forested trails are peaceful, filled with birdsong and fresh air, making it a perfect escape from the city.
Access is convenient, with plenty of parking, and you can even drive most of the way up if you're not in the mood for a hike. But if you love outdoor adventures, the trails offer a rewarding climb. Don’t forget to bring a camera because the views are truly picture-perfect!

Read moreThis spot is nestled at the backside of a neighborhood. You don't even realize it's there until you crest a hill, coming around a corner from a neighborhood street and are greeted with a parking lot and amazing views. If the top parking lot fills, there is extra parking on the far side of the lookout point. There is a fence and there are signs requesting people to stay on the parking lot side of it so as not to disturb the natural area on the steep side. There will always be those with "doesn't apply to me" syndrome though.
You can see pretty much all of Victoria from this site...even with how cloudy and grey it was while we were here, this spot offers beautiful views that leave you wanting to just hang for a while. There is a matching stone pedestal to the one at Mt Tolmie. It is in the rocks across the drive path from the top parking area. That rocky point is also an amazing viewpoint.

Read moreA spectacular place to view victoria 360 around the point. You can see in all directions and the views are magnificent. It’s an easy but step drive. There are trails leading to the top as well and many people walk or bicycle up the very steep windy road but not me. I just wave to people as I drive up. At the top there is a viewing platform with railings to look out southwards towards victoria and the Olympic mountains facing Victoria from the United States. I used to go up there and practice some dance routines as there is a hard surface for the lookout and it is quite large.
