This goat gelato is a win and is worth the trip alone! It’s the smoothest, creamiest, most decadent, gelato! Their pizza was perfectly baked, with a crispy crust and a flavorful topping that made every bite a delight. The quality here is exceptional and you can taste the authenticity in every bite. The pizza was fresh, had flavorful toppings, and the perfect crust! The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable, which added to the charm of the visit. I’ve purchased Salt Spring Island Cheese for years but have never been to the farm before I visited late July. It’s a beautiful little stop to check out if you’re on the island. Being as how it was summer and a sunny hot day it was busy! But still very enjoyable, contrary to what other people said on these Google reviews there is a self guided cheese tour you can experience. You can watch the cheese being made at different stages through windows and it was super neat! Bathrooms were clean and readily available, seating was nice and we enjoyed the ambiance. There was also tons of parking and you were able to pass by chickens on the short walk up. They even have handicapped parking so you don’t have a walk up a slight hill.

My reason for not giving it 5 stars was because of the service. With so much of it being self guided the only real human interaction we had was with the people who were sampling the cheese and ringing up our our purchase. These people acted like they were being held against their will, like they had committed some crime and this was their punishment, to serve pesky annoying tourists cheese for a lifetime. They were not helpful in explaining much, they didn’t seem knowledgeable about any of the products and they seemed downright annoyed that we were even there. I understand it’s busy, it’s summer, lots of tourists but part of the experience I believe should include people that should at least pretend to like their job and know something about the product they are serving and selling. I came here today with some friends. This place was lovely, the food was great, the cheese was excellent, and the baby goats were so adorable. However, what somewhat ruined the whole experience was the staff, more specifically one staff member, I did not catch her name however she was at the till checking me and my friends out when we were ordering our pizzas. She was extremely unpleasant, yawning and stretching in our faces as if we weren’t even there, and responding sarcastically to questions like when we asked if we could just take the baguette we bought (we were perhaps expecting her to put it in a paper bag for us) she smirked and said yea (May as well have said duh, would’ve been exactly the same) I really don’t know how that girl got the job but she certainly doesn’t deserve to keep it.
